This is a map of Italy and Yugoslavia in 1943.The Allies are invading Sicily,
the Italians and the Nazis defend their positions in Yugoslavia from the partisans and the nazis have prepared a defence line in Monte Casino.The nations are:

NEW WW2 SCENARIO BY JIMKATALANOS:



In this scenario the Nazis have conquered all of Continental Europe except from Russia.Now there are two fronts: the Egypt and the east one(invasion of USSR ,codenamed operation Barbarosa).Also the Nazis have created a defensive line in Normandy to avoid an invasion.In the beginning the Nazis are pretty powerful but as the east front grows they will become weaker.The nations are:

Name: Modern World 2

About mode:
In the beginning, this mod was for modern time, but since time, he became global. The Mod covers the times of the First World War, the Second World War, but emphases is spared modern time and technology future. Each of described above times, has their own technologies and units.


Theare are added:

- 5 technologies (First World War, Second World War, Euroalliance, NATO, Acquaintance with UFO)

- a types of the rules (NATO, EUROALLIANCE)

- new units (Read the file “Mod_units” in mod folder)

- new religions: Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Fascism, Communism

- a leaders: Yuschenko (Ukraine), Lukashenko (Belarus), Putin (Russia) + static leaders

- a scenario "ModernWorld2": map of the world, on which is located countries: America (AMERICA), U.A.E. (ARABIA), China (CHINA), Egypt (EGYPT), England (ENGLAND), France (FRANCE), Germany (GERMANY), Greece (GREECE), Japan (JAPAN), Australia (AUSTRALIA), Iran (PERSIA), Italy (ROME), Russia (RUSSIA), Spain (SPAIN), Ukraine (UKRAINE), Poland (POLAND), Belorussia (BELORUS), Canada (CANADA), Israel (ISRAEL), Turkey (Turkey), Brazil (BRAZIL).

- all nations are replaced on modern, with modern flags

Installation:

- Extract the zip file into <C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods>
- Delete the cache file from C:\Documents and Settings\COMPUTER_USER_NAME\Application Data\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\cache
- Run the game from ADVANCED > LOAD A MOD > Modern World MOD
- Overwriting existing game files does not delete or corrupt original files.

Man, my antivirus found a virus from that updated file. :mad:

edit2: OK, there obieuvsly isn&#180;t any virus, but this isn&#180;t my fault :(
 
Ummm...is it supposed to be a .exe file? Shouldn't it be a .zip or .rar?

Edit: Also, the installer's text was unreadable. Just a lot of gibberish. I'm in English though, so that might be the problem.

Yes, it is supposed to be a .exe file, since it's an installer. Installer's text is quite readable. Well, at least, in Russian. :D

And my Norton AV don't find any viruses here.
 
There is no Virus in my file, i only read ÅÄÅAA and so on in my installation-folder but it was pretty easy to guess :)
 
I suggest you just change it to a plain old .zip or .rar. That'll let it get past the AV software, and it's easier, IMO, to just unzip once and move the files to my MODS directory, as opposed to having to have that sitting in my start menu and occupying space that isn't necessary.

There are NO VIRUS in the MOD FILES)))
Now I do the second version of the mod. In future version will be all modern leaders of the nations, new models of modern military, such as NATO (F18 and tank M1), USSR (T34), Ukraine (tank "Bulat"), Russia (T80), Fly revolution (MiG , 17, 25, 29 and others), WW1 (triplane) WW2 (A6m zero, BF-109, MiG 7) and more NEW MODELS!!!!!)))
 
There isn't any virus in any of the files. I reported Pegasos' post as a bad post...
The file is executable as most of the installer files of other mods. Some people just can't install a zipped mod... and btw if you are smart enough to use winrar then you can scan an .exe file for a virus...

Psyx I would use roman chars for the installer... but anyways people, if you wanna read cyrillic you can change the language settings in Control Panel, but that won't guarantee you will understand russian :D

The installation file of the second version of the mod will be in English.

I use *.7zip packer, becouse it more better archivs the files (In 1,8 once better then *.zip)!!! *.zip and *.rar are not the best packers...
 
how do i actually play it? I really want to try this so please tell me

Update to v.1.3 is installed put over version 1.2.2 (Extract update files into Modern World MOD directory)

Edit: Alright, I downloaded it. There is no virus.

I played it a bit. I think that that the mod is alright. Obviously when you start working on when the game starts and etc (It isn't all that modern when you have cavemen with huge clubs running around) it will be much better. But for now, you are doing good, so keep it up. :p
