Modified Scenarios Workshop

I can't get a conversion to work on Eivind's Blitzkrieg 1936.

The scenario itself converts alright, but none of the other files do. If I understand correctly the second file civconverter works with after the .scn file is the units.bmp - but it seems to fail to do that. It goes to the nest file, then claims to be doing something - but no files form.

Could be an administrator privilege issue, but I do not understand how administrator privileges work when running from command prompt.

This is very unfortunate for the rules file - I've tried to copy things by hand, but I get strange errors and the game crashes. All the other files I believe I could well convert by hand.

So I'm wondering, if anyone has a working setup of civconverter if they could try it out and upload the file. I could take it from there.

This is what CivConverter prints:

I've only successfully converted three scenarios, all WAY back in the day, and I've never successfully converted one since, getting similar errors to yours.

I've been slowly building the rules file by way of copy/paste. The only problem I've run into is that when I change the name of the (Capitalization) city improvement to (Weapons Exports) the game crashes to desktop at scenario load. It is quite trivial a problem, but an odd one.

Hi all
I had said that I would not convert more scenarios to ToT, :mischief: but I finished three more and included LOTR. I have managed to modify some units of Fairline or Curt Sibling (sorry artist, my talent is what it is) and this is the result:

POMARJ scenario for Civilization II MPGE by Cyrion and friends converted for ToT
https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/pomarj-for-tot.27567/

Harlan Thompson's The Lord of the Rings scenario converted for Test of Time:
https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/the-lord-of-the-rings.27568/

AGE OF PIRACY a Civ II scenario by Shay Yates Roberts converted for ToT:
https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/age-of-piracy-for-tot.27569/

Pitt's War at Sea a Civ2 scenario by C. Fritz converted for ToT:
https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/pitts-war-at-sea.27570/

I was wrong to include POMARJ and it is not included in Fantasy Scenarios. Does anyone know how I can move it?

On the other hand I want to highlight so that there are no doubts, that these scenarios (and all those that are included by me in the Scenarios as ToT conversion) do not have any error or problem. All are corrected and should not give any incidence of disappearance of units or other incidents. If you have problems tell me

Woot woot! Age of Piracy!!! Can't wait to revisit it!!!

Espero que te guste.

On the other hand I have been playing several scenarios, which I have modified to remove errors.

The first one I'm going to talk about and include, is 'A House Dividev 1861-1865' by Tootall, I think one of the most talented active scenario builders.

I had tried to play it recently, but something was not going in the games and I left it. This year I took it back with enthusiasm, modified the units and started again ... and something was not working. The southern units were fortified and notwithstanding being powerful, they remained on the defensive and did not attack. I did not know what happened ... until I checked the 'Set Attitude' and I saw that it had a 0. I passed it to 100 and the fun started. :band: Grand scenario and very exciting. :worship:

I'm glad to see you haven't entirely retired. I've enjoyed many of your scenario conversions and plan on taking a look at your latest efforts.

I'm curious which version of the scenario were you playing. This was a known issue in version 1.0, whereby as per the following post #54 on my A House Divided development thread:

"Yes, unfortunaley, as I indicated in a previous post prior to releasing v 1.0, I had to rebuild the scenario from scratch but forgot to reset the Treaties and Attitude parameters. Thanks to Techumseh's dogged perseverance he located the problem and I've subsequently reset these parameters for version 1.1 and you should see a very marked difference in terms of the Rebel level of aggressivness."

I retrospect, looking at post #67, I was also thinking about reinforcing this negative attitude through the event file by resetting the Attitude to 100 every 6 turns but I guess I never completed this change. I might take another look and add this change to a version 1.2

You're right. It is version 1.0. I'm glad to resolved a problem already solved a few years ago:trophy2nd:.
And that is very clear in the download of the sleague page: "Install version 1.1 into a 'A House Divided 1861 - 1865' folder in your ToT main folder. Please delete version 1.0 first if you had already installed it".
Excuse me Tootall :please:
I delete the error version.
And thank you very much for your scenarios :goodjob:

New graphics update that adds @Tanelorn's two planes and adds a Cities.bmp, and Terrain1 and 2.bmp graphics update, to make it look nice and Levantine.

Patine I suspected it ... but I think that you have made conversion very easy ... you have not followed the instructions of Catfish or of course mine. And kalashnikov in 1948!

You have saved by the Tanelorn units.

I add a new version of ToT without, I hope, conversion problems.

I also hope that you improve the scenario :mischief:

Quick question. Does a ToT graphic conversion of Exile's "The age of Crusades" exist?
