Wondian Rules v1.2
A Comprehensive Modpack

NEW CIVILIZATIONS
(Wondiana, Italy, Turkey, Spain and Iran)
ADDITIONAL GOVERNMENTS
(Fundamentalism, Fascism, Socialist Democracy)
ADDITIONAL CITY IMPROVEMENT
(Newspaper)
ADDITIONAL STRATEGIC & LUXURY RESOURCES
(Copper and Cotton)
ADDITIONAL BONUS RESOURCES
(Oyster, Rice, Fruits, Sheep, Paper, Quartz, Silver)
NEW UNITS
(Conquistador, Janissary, Ranger)

Customized Colors, customized rules and settings.
With complete civilopedia support.
Further details can be found in an attached rtf file.

UPDATE v1.3
-NEW UNIT: Master Architect
Used to hurry wonders (or other improvements).
Requires masonry. Costs as much as the Pyramids and one population (thus can join cities).
It especially comes handy when your rivals complete a wonder just a few turns before you, there are no other wonders left and you don't want to waste hundreds of shields. Just change to Master Architect and keep him for a later job. He can also build roads/railroads while waiting. (eh, he's an architect though. But don't ask him to clear pollution, etc. :)).

-NEW RESOURCE: Wild Boar (a food bonus for mountains)

-All formerly invisible resources are now represented with an icon.
-Additional modification details and civilopedia included.

Version 1.2 removed after 575 downloads.

Iran is Persia actually (just as Italy is Rome) in my modpack, just renamed to keep a modern day realism.

:goodjob:
for next modpack, make Israel please, with Mech Infantry replaced with Golani unit (for Israelis), which can walk everywhere as on road.

On the road with my trusty Win NT 4.0 portable so all I can do is read about these mods. I like the idea of all the new resources and will have a look when I get home. A few questions in the meantime. First, I assume that it is patch compatible. Second, pre-patch, one could add a bunch of resources but only the first two appeared on the map (apparently, the others were there, merely invisible). So, are all the added new resources really new, are some replacements and are they all visible? Thanks for the effort.:)

Nice idea for the Master Architect. It slightly minimizes the importance of wonders, but it sure does making losing one that much less annoying. Only problem: if one civ has a production advantage early on, they might shrewdly save their master architects and get all of the later wonders for free. Of course, that strategy might only work under certain conditions, and they are able to hurry other stuff (like, say, a Harbor in that important resource city halfway across the world). I will have to play with this one. Very interesting idea!

this mod cured my headache about civ-playing greatly.
thanks
one thing i complain: why that many bonus resourse?
:goodjob:

Its easy. Just put the Bic file into your scenarios folder, and replace the resources.pcx file with the old one, but remember to backup:)

edit-sorry its not as easy as that. You have to make new ini files, for all the units that have changed their names.

Yeah, but there is another problem, I have the german version of this game and I dont wanna play the english version becouse I like it more to read all the things in my motherlanguage.
I have no Idea what is an Immortal, or an Mounted Warior.
I hadnt complete the installation, but I get an error from an file that isnt context to the files from the zipped archive.
I get the message that there is an missing entry in "text\PediaIcons.txt": ICON_BLDG_Newspaper

I hope you can help me, the mod sounds cool, but the installation sounds complex for me

Wow this thing has a history of three bumps. :wow: Just pointing that out. Can't resist being the bump patrol. :D

Then I dare you to post in the first topic in this forum EVER.

Go. Now. You said you don't care.

J/K :p

An Immortal was an Persian company. It was made directly out of fresh recruits often with no training. They used the Immortals for psychological by replacing everyman that died on the battlefield so it looked the Immortals numbers were never shrinking. They got the name Immortals because no one could defeat the unit.
A mounted warrior is a guy on a horse. Like a knight but without the armor.
There might be way to convert this mod to German like utility or something but I am not sure.
