Allied forces in Kabul are forced into a huge battle the largest yet in Afghanistan where rebel forces, numbered in the thousands, attack the city. The rebels are poorly trained and do not seem like they are from Al-Qaeda, but did manage to kill a few hundred soldiers. Two hundred British are killed, and nearly fifty American men have been killed. These losses have greatly alarmed anti-war activists at home, especially in Britain where there is talk of impeaching Tony Blair. Meanwhile, Italian forces have entered the occupation.
The plague in Somalia continues to kill the populace at an alarming rate. Taking advantage of the situation, and the basic civil war going on in the nation, Ethiopia has moved its forces into the country to claim the western Somali provinces. They open fire on anyone they find.
A huge Indian surge of domestic funds from the military budget has helped put medicine on the streets for the people who need it most. Unfortunately, it barely makes a dent on the countrys huge needs.
The Czech. Republic doesnt witness any more terrorism in its country, but tourism is still down, making the economy plummet. Without any aid, or perhaps aid for searching for the terrorist camps, the country may drag the rest of the EU down with it.
A Chinese blockade around the nation of Taiwan has resulted in the total seclusion of the Taiwanese state from trade, sending the nation into complete depression. Its major trading partner, the US, also sees a hit in its economy from lack of Taiwanese goods. However, American Pacific navy also surrounds the Chinese navy. No good can come of this.
Georgian militarists are caught and killed by the Georgian officers and army personnel. They are killed or suffer in prisons. Air strikes from the Russian Federation begin immediately afterwards, followed by a huge Russian invasion. The Georgians have no way of warding off the Russians other then guerrilla tactics that claim nearly three hundred Russian lives.
Pakistani forces begin warm-up exercises along the borders of Kashmir.
Iraq has continued to rearm, despite the international pressure not to.
