More Civilisations

I'd suggest to make it help take cities, so that it effectively turns into the Assyria of Culture. :p

You seem to have understood my intents very well! :p that's exactly what I'm hoping to do. It'll receive the Kyundaw Conscript, a Spearman replacement which receives extra strength the more people (citizens/population) you have within your empire as well as starting with Siege.

I've just underlined my preferences. I doubt that the civ would be massively overpowered with that.

I just clarified the UA slightly, can you confirm you still maintain the same preferences?

The UU sounds awesome. However, my only concern is that is it too early. You're not goings have a massive population when this guy comes around, so you mightn't get a decent bonus. Also, does the promotion carry on? You might have to do some tweaking there, and there might also have to be a combat bonus from population cap.

Yup, I remain unchanged on the preference.

Assyria of Culture, yeah that sums it well. And I agree with Viregel completely

Just uploaded the Nazca to the CFC database. They have also been updated to version 2, nerfing the geoglyph to +2 on completing a tree, as well as fixing the strategic view icon and volume for the themes. Hopefully the Nazca won't have a European soundtrack now either

Check here

There's a minor issue with the download button, you'll have to remove the "https://" part of it.

I tried to download from Civ database and found this: "Oops! Google Chrome could not find https"

What was the problem?

EDIT: DAMN, I should really read before posting. Thanks.

Oh, the bonus will be easy enough to balance. On that note, I'd appreciate statistics on population in your games by a) the classical era and b) the medieval era.

Anawrahta?
Yep

By the Classical Era, my population is about 7, and by the Medieval Era, it's probably 13 or so. I'll check with my last game; I typically play on King, but I've just won a game on Emperor, s that can affect growth due to happiness limitations. I'd assume the bonus would be the same regardless.

Edit: Started a new game on Emperor, got those exact figures. Hops this helps.

Nazca is one of the most beautiful and interesting mod civilisations I have ever seen in that game.

I am waiting on awesome Burma ;)

One suggestion, will you make Geoglyphs use fresh water bonus?

I've encountered a bug with the Nazca where the base city-tile started giving less yield after building the UB.

edit: So after testing some, it seems you lose 1 production from the base city-tile if you build the UB and the city is settled on a plains hill.

It's not a bug per se. I assume they're using a feature for the fresh water like I did with my Garamantes mod, in which case its a result of how features interact with tile yield.

There are actually a few instances where the base city tile yield gets messed up. If you want the full list, I worked it out back when I first did the Garamantes:

City - Hills - Plains: -1 Production
City - Hills - Grass or Plains - Sheep: +1 Food
City - Hills - Snow - Stone or Iron: +1 Production
City - Hills - (No Resources) - During a Golden Age: -1 Production

*(Technically its Bananas, Cattle, Deer, Sheep, Wheat, Citrus, Salt and Sheep on City Hills Grass/Plains get the one food, but only Sheep can spawn on that set in a standard map).
*(There are a few more for the feature not on city tiles but this doesn't come up in the Nazca mod).

I fixed the yield problem with a set of dummy buildings in the Garamantes mod (granted, its not the cleanest solution).

You also need to keep in mind that the fresh water bonus allows Gardens to be built in every city, and subsequently Gardens to then be captured in non-fresh water cities. A quick lua check can remove the capture thing, if wanted.

Yeah, the -1 Production on hills is annoying when you realize it... Didn't know of the Sheep +1 Food thing heh... will use that one more often :P

Could you please give an attempt for trying to make or at least fixing the current Latvian mod ( http://forums.civfanatics.com/downlo...=file&id=22022 ) after you are done with whatever you are working on right now.
The current Latvian mod ( i would better preffer republic of Latvia) i dont like becasue of several factors:
1. UA and UU1st is about Livonia, not Latvia and they both are completely different things.
Livonia was medivial territory (Yes, it wasnt even an actual state or country) that conssitet of 4 different archibishobies and Swordbrother Order, But Latvia was only one country, and it wasnt German, like livonia.
2. I preffer Kārlis Ulmanis better as leader, than Jānis Čakste
3. UU2nd could be something else, because this one is Russian, not Latvian, and it was before Latvia even existed, later they even got renamed red Latvian riflemen, becasue in Freedom war (translated as good as possible) they were fighting AGAINST independence and for USSR (or russia or whatever it was called in 1919-1920).
Things i want to change:
UI Trenches - like in WWI there were trenches in Latia as well, but they were mostly made in capital, when germans attacked in 1919 (Yes, war on twoo fronts, for just made country (1918 18 November independence gained)). they were made everywhere, to resist amphibious asasult from german forces, becasue they had invadedwestern bank of city, but not the main part so trenches were made in banks, not-destroied bridges and so.
In 1991, after regained independence, russian special forces attacked Latvia's capital to regain control over it and the same tactic was made - trenches and fortifications everywhere important.
Trench improvment could give unit stationed on it 10% less defence than fort, but heal even if unit performs and action. BUT it cannot be pillaged and if some else, that is not your or is enemy also benefits from this, so only workers can remove them.
UB- cultural house- no history about this, just replacment for amphtheater- has all 3 great work slots possible and when all them are filled with Latvian and the same era works, you can choose btween golden age, changing ideology and not lose tenets, or increasing happiness
UA - window to europe (phrase by Peter I of russia, when conquered todays teritory of Latvia) gives +1 culture and +1 gold to Latvia for every trade that goes TROUGH (not to) the teritory of Latvia and +5 gold and culture, for every that goes TROUGH (not to) the city.
This is my second attemt posting this thread you were suggested by leugi!

Thank you!

Just played an amazing game as the Nazca. Those tile yields can be crazy mid-game!

Also the Aesthetics -> Hotel/Airport Tourism boost is massive.

I was looking through the historical civilizations available in the steam workshop and noticed a lack of Asian civilizations. Is anyone considering making a Punjab civilization or a Khmer civilization? Or any of the Southeast Asian kingdoms, I was kind of surprised that only Siam and Indonesia where represented in the official Civilization sides.

LastSword has a pretty decent Khmer Empire mod.

I suggest you read through the topic - one of our big projects at the moment is an India split, which adds an extra four civs from India and turns the current India civ into a modern civ, with a Gurkha UU

I have the Timurids and Harappa available at the moment, and Champa in the near future.
