More Civilisations

I don't think he does, two of them look like patterns on his clothes.

I guess Suleiman REALLY didn't want to give away his copy of Quran. :D

:P Yeah really, giving away that book is hard... Yup, bad erasing from my side, didn't notice it till now :P

Yep, Venezuela is part of the Gran Colombia... (Llanero's are more Venezuelan than Colombian anyway)

I think Venezuela is already covered by Leugi's Gran Colombia (Caracas is the second city if I recall correctly).

You're right, I forgot about that. It is definitely an awesome track, though! I'm quite curious about this. :)

Could it be Mexico?

I've thought about the war theme, and here's what I've come up with:

-It sounds colonial as opposed to indigenous.
-It's either Central or South American.
-Leugi is already working on a Mexico with TPangolin AFAIK, and he's already released his war music.
-There are effectively no other colonial Central American civs. So it must be South American.
-Brazil is already ingame thanks to Firaxis.
-Bolivia, Chile and Argentina have already been released. Peru and Paraguay are on the cards.
-Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador are covered by Gran Colombia.

Therefore, by process of elimination... it's Uruguay.

Two Mexicos! What a party. They seem different enough however - each with different a UA, one different UU and a Leaderhead. I've seen the More Civs Mexico art and by god it's fantastic.

I'm still a bit sad about the overlap though in terms of concept, timing and the subsequent choice to do it right after I announced plans to do mine (which turns out was the inadvertent catalyst for creation of the More Civs Mexico via mis-communication). The More Civs Mexico is shaping up to be excellent and the Super Team have steamrolled the through the creation civ in an extraordinarily short amount of time. I just hope however that there is more than enough room for an additional "Colonialist Legacies" Mexico to be thrown in the mix. It feels odd having your toes stepped on and isn't necessarily the best introduction to the modding community since I've been so wary about planning civs without stepping into other's territory. Although no matter how much the More Civs Mexico may outshine our planned Mexico, I wish the team the best of luck and I hope my ideas were put to good use.

The wound is still a bit sore though, so I'm going to go eat some chicken.

I know how you feel. I'm just about to enter a similar battle with Hiram over the Ryukyu Kingdom (as it stands, I'm leading in gameplay and have the mod released, but Hiram's got better artwork). Anyway, which one is going to be incorporated into Patria Grande as well?

If there was a rule that no mod could ever overlap with another one, I guess the modding scene for every game would be pretty much dead, or lingering at best.

Don't worry, you'll still have my map. :crazyeye:

Chicken is good.

So yeah before you kind of make me decide which one is better, I'll be linking both through Patria Grande :P ... They are both different enough and synergize in very different ways; and I'm working on both anyway (though to be honest, its fairly possible I'll also be making the code for TP's).

There's also the fact that we'll be sharing artwork and music in both cases; (so, map, UU, music) so yeah, I actually like the idea of 2 Mexico's hehe.

Damn. TPangolin asked me to do the map for Legacy Mexico, but from a different time period than the More Mexico. I'm confus. Am I still supposed to do it?

Please do :P ... I was the confused one there actually :crazyeye:
