There are zero compatibility issues between the Mac and Windows versions of BtS .... because no one has quite got around to developing and delivering the Mac version of BtS yet!
My post immediately above yours gives a blow by blow account of what I had to do to get Civ Gold3.7 to run on a Mac. They affected all eight files in /Assets/XML/Text/, and yuo can download the modified set in post#8 in this thread. Those ought to give you an idea of what you need to do to establish and maintain future compatibility with Macs, if you want to. I'm pretty sure that those changes would not stop it from working on a PC, although I haven't checked.
