Yes, I saw the sql Building_GreatPersonProgressFromConstruction in your mod. I will try to understand better how it works.
I added Building_GreatPersonProgressFromConstruction, it grants instant great person points when you construct buildings later than the stated era. The value you put in is the percent of great person progress.

There's some short documentation on the new tables CP adds in (1)Community Patch\Core Tables.

In github version it is deleted and substituted with no Coast requirement. There were many other changes to requirements.

In my current game (github v0.5.9) I was given the option to build Stonehenge on the coast thou...

Also I think the era limitation for certain policy wonder do need to change mainly Peterhof palace being an imperialism wonder but only can be built during the wonders of fealty, statecraft and artistry (medieval and renaissance when base vp wonders are during modern and atomic era

Hi Adan_eslavo. I was just thinking about Skara Brae and what if you add requirment that the city must have improved fish, wheat, cattle, sheep ? Since the village bonus is strong(not too strong) it should be not avaible just from start.

It already has such requirement. And the village bonus is not available from start because villages are available only after Currency (medieval?).

  • May I ask what is so special in Tern Eggs to make them luxury resource?
  • Do you have art for it?

Corrected Falun and it has:
  • 2% progress towards :c5greatperson: Great Engineer on building construction from Medieval Era up;
I was thinking about 1% from Renaissance if it is too op now. Check and I wait for your feedback.
Before it was set on 100% and that's why you get one GE every building construction from Renaissance :p

Thank you

As they say at home, better is one who knows than a hundred who seek.

THE BIRD MAN CEREMONY

The ceremony took place from July to September, during the austral spring, the period of laying terns. It was a contest whose aim was to collect the first egg of the season.
The participants swam 2 km to Motu Nui, in particularly dangerous waters because they are infested with sharks. Once on the island, they waited for weeks to discover the first egg of spring.

THE INCARNATION OF GOD MAKE MAKE

The winner, or the man represented by the winner, then obtained the title of birdman. Erected as a demigod, it was said to have been sent by Make Make, the supreme deity of the rapanui pantheon. The birdman became for a year the interlocutor between gods and men. The archaeological site of Orongo has hundreds of representations.

I think that historically, it's a very important ceremony which designates an incarnation of a god on earth. Tern egg could be a luxury resource or an :greatwork: Artefact which would give bonuses of :c5faith: Faith and / or :c5happy: happiness.

  • Do you have art for it?

Sorry, when I tinker with icons (because that's the word), I use the ModDdsConverter from Whoward69, the Civ V gods bless him. I can try but without quality assurance.

No one noticed that Prophet's Mosque was unlocked at Writing instead of Education? :p

v0.5.12 on github fixes that and adds dozen of new help texts. Beside that added some colours, fixed few texts, reworked internal sql structure (substr --> REPLACE which makes those changes more clear).

If someone uses standard help texts, please tell me if there are any errors.
Also, I ask native english speakers to check my new help texts for any grammatical and spelling errors.

Have fun!

@hokath What about old and new icons? Should I do some temporary icons by myself or you started working on them?
@gwennog I could do only icon for Tern Egg, but there will be problem with 3D art. Or, I could make only text icon (like for CS resource) and give flat quantity like planned.

PS: Test new Falun ability and tell me if it works. I had no time for that.

Dear Adan_eslavo, to start in jungle or marsh is often difficult and I didn't see wonders in the first ages which are in these types of biotope. I think you could add a wonder in the Neolithic era.

Maybe a New Guinea Wonder (one more for Oceania)

Kuk Swamp

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuk_Swamp

1 :c5science: and 1 :c5food:
GrowthExtraYield :c5production: 5%
FoodKept :c5food: 5%
+1 :c5production: swamps, +1 :c5food: plantations

need swamps and bananas or sugar, desert prohibited

I don't see in new help texts what exactly Wonder provides.
You said "to return to VP style help texts you must set "0" instead of "1" for "MW-HELP" tag in "MoreWonderTexts.sql" file"
I couldn't find where to set it

Second: You cannot find any values, because I didn't add them. These text are reworked to be more "flavoured". I could name that "experimental phase". I had to rework wrong file structure and by the way I decided to add such project. I know it can be less precise than enumerating everything. I'm still working on it. Please tell me what are your thoughts (totally worthless/needs improvement/good etc).

After your mentioning, I will add condensed info about some values. Be patient. Why everything takes so much time... :/

An idea but which requires a lua (not sure you are very hot). One luxury resource (text icon) which appears every X turns and triggers a WLTKD for X turns then disappears.

v0.5.13 on Github reworks existing help texts (only part of medieval) according to @AndreyK suggestion, which gave me an idea I started working on immediately.
Spoiler Some examples :

These new help texts give you mucho more information tied to flavoured texts. I checked how they look at Wonder Popup screen and they are amazing! Enumerated abilities are those which do not appear in the tooltip, lua ones or some important from theme aspect (offense for example).

Additionally all granted buildings will get small condensed info about what their focus is (without looking on civilopedia).

Dear adan_eslavo

I am currently playing a game with the latest version of More Wonder for VP and I will try to give some impressions (sorry, I mostly play to play and I don't look at all the details).
However, the first impression is that I really like the work done, the wonders are relatively well distributed, scientifically advanced civilizations must leave it to others because they do not have the required standards.
I really like the artistic work (I like them all but a little special mention for Marae )

For critical remarks but that only bother me:
  • I don't play with EUI and I find it hard to quickly find what exactly do wonders.
  • I started my game in a mountain / desert environment and I feel that it gives access to really a lot of wonders.
  • I play Artistic and I find that Uffizi arrives a bit early and is too redundant with Le Louvre (in past, I had proposed a version of Monte Carlo Casino with aggressive tourism, gold spent generates tourism which might be a little different line).

Monte Carlo Casino
Grants a free Hotel and +1 Jewelery. All Hotels generate +2 :tourism: Tourism and +3 :c5gold: Gold. When you spend :c5gold: Gold in this City, 20% of the cost is converted into :tourism: Tourism.

But I say it again, I love this job and if I could not do without the version of Infixo already, I became adept at yours :crazyeye:

Can you provide me some examples? I don't play no-EUI version and I'm not aware of what info is missing in those tootlips. If you provide me some screens I would add missing things in help texts.

Monte Carlo is a nice idea. I will consider that and probably bring back Uffizi to its previous state as normal wonder.

I tried to differentiate mountain wonders (mountain + lake/desert/x2 etc.). Again, can you give me some examples of wonders that are built in the same config every game? Like it was with Stonehenge and Pyramids earlier?

I looked better and it's not a EUI / non EUI problem in my opinion, from the medieval era, the style you have chosen seems the right one and the information is there but before, there is only the pure description.

Sorry, forgive this remark, in the renaissance era, the 4 biggest wonder builders (out of 8 civilizations in game) have the same number of wonders with different starting grounds and different scientific advances, so I don't have a placement advantage, it was just an impression.

On the other hand, I noticed one thing, I built Wieliczka, obtained the two salts on the ground and built mines. But I don't seem to have the resource, my cities ask for a WLTKD and another civilization offers it to me in exchange (excuse me but the economic overview bug in the non EUI version and I cannot see if the resource is part of those in my possession).

Another observation, with economics, I don't have access to Bakken Wonder while I am on a hill and my happiness is > 80%, I do not know why?
