I am playing as Japan in one of my games and I am like in the year 2093 and I notice later on Civ leaders ask you for everything later on. I would like to know who is the most annoying leader that you are dealing with?
For me it is:

Justin Ist: I don't know why he is just so annoying but I just guess it is his theme music

Charlamange: This guy is also annoying but I don't like him for the same thing.
And I think that is it for me. What about you?

Charlemagne always likes to create massive empires in my games. He;s one of the few AIs I've seen go to war with a civ of equal siza and kick them off the continent.

But with his favorite civic Charlie is manageable....compared to say Mansa Musa, #1 Most Likely to Ruin a Game. Does he border you? Good luck getting past those Skirmishers with Ancient Units. Is he on the other side of the continent? Congratulations, by the time you reach him he's either the pet of the strongest civ on the block or he's an era ahead of you.

Genghis Kahn. Normally I'll join a war with an friend against him, and they are both across the world from me. 20 turns later, I forget about the war, and there's a stack of Mongolians on my doorstep. No matter the distance, he'll send his soldiers to kill you.

Tokugawa or Isabella are my most hated.

I like to trade so naturally Toku sucks. Plus he can be hard to take out with protective longbowman and double prod. castles. If you wait even longer he'll have aggressive and protective guns!!:wallbash:

Izzy isn't too hard to take out... It's the religious block she created that has her back though.:badcomp:

Well, my current game is in RFCE, so I'd have to say Yusuf (Cordoba). He's cut off my third city (on the Canaries - I'm playing as Portugal) with culture and hates me so much that I'm never going to get OB with him. Plus, he wants me to war with Spain

2093? AD? :crazyeye:

I guess "annoying" and "hated" may be mutually exclusive - I'm assuming here.

My most "hated" nemesis is Napoleon. Just can't stand when he is in the game and always try to wipe him away as quick as I can.

As for "annoying" here, I'm assuming the leaders that demand the most stuff. Joao is pretty notorious for his demands, as is Cathy. You can guarantee the will jack stuff off you. I often try to trade stuff away to them quickly if it makes sense so I at least get stuff out of it. Or I isolate them. Plus, those 2 expand like bunnies. Sitting Butt can get annoying with his espionage crap and actually I've had Charly do that crap to me as well. I don't consider most of the psychos as annoying (Monty, Shaka, Nappy, Rag). They will usually demand a resource or tech early and that's about it. Otherwise, they are who they are and you either get on their good side and keep them fighting or kill them off.

Toku is not as bad as most make him out. He usually techs slowly so you can gift him a couple of early techs and open borders. From there, he's usually not an issue.

Joao asks for so much crap and steals all the land, but at least he doesn't plan @ pleased. Catherine is also ridiculous with the demands and will backstab you.

I'd go with Alexander, for being a piece of crap. Just bribe him into a war asap, and keep your distance. And of course Sitting Bull; who doesn't hate him?

Really, it depends. Of the six psychos, I find Shaka the most dangerous. He isn't suicidal like Monty, expands well and keeps up in tech. He wars when he expects to benefit from it, not just because he's a raving loon.

Toku is somewhat annoying but usually becomes a non-factor. I often don't bother getting along with him because I know his long-term prospects aren't good. Surry is annoying with constant demands and the rexers drive you crazy. Gilgamesh is a good AI as well. Mansa Musa's strategy (vassalize to the strongest Civ and gun for culture) is a good one and can drive you crazy.

Cathy doesn't bother me, but I know I can never trust her unless she's vassalized.

I hate Sitting Bull the most for the constant espionage missions, but he has his uses. He draws the ire of the psychos so I can often declare a phony war to keep myself from being a target. And he's extremely hard for the psychos to kill.

I hate Sitting Bull, Monty, wonderhogs & pacifists.
While AIs with good sense, strong military, good tech rate & non-backstabbers are great allies - for example Gilgamesh, Hannibal, Justinian & Zara Yacob.

Giggles ... eventhrough he have fairly crappy traits he's coded to play quite strong, and he's nearly unbeatable earlygame due to Vultures and protective Archers

Monty and Izzy are the worst; if I'm in game with them then it's guaranteed to be a battle-heavy game, whether I want it to be or not.

Charlie can be tricky, but not as much as the other two I mentioned. The downside is that if you bro up with him via religions or civics or whatever, he tends to expand and tech like mad...

Welcome to the forums!:band:

I love to have Izzy next to me. She will found a religion, convert your cities for you and be your best friend if you adopt her religion. She'll also try to convert the near neighbors so you have a lovefest. As long as you don't convert to some other religion she's nice. Of course, she wants you to hate heathens but so does everybody. Izzy means I have to spend less for missionaries. Charlie is also a zealot so religion sharing means a lot. The AI Charlie plays pretty well, I find.

Ah, Monty. Full basket of fruit with assorted nuts. As you said, battle heavy. No concept of technological progress or fear. Rabid Pit Bull. If you can, try to redirect his aggressions. Extremely dangerous early, his threat level usually wanes. However, don't just rely on a tech lead when he sends his 24,676 troops your way. You need a reasonable garrison and strong defensive units. He's a wonderful source of GG points. If he attacks you when you have the Great Wall, you'll be wondering what to do with your seventh general.

I love Isabella too, because she spreads the religion... and then I just kill her when she's outlived her usefulness and grab that shrine. ;)

I open my doors to all zealots; more religions, the better.

And all those zealots will demand you to convert religion:)

Tokugawa, Genghis Khan, Isabella, Gandhi
When Gandhi got a new contact, he tried to sell it to me for 62 turns until i bought the contact (of Justinianus).
