Most Realistic FPS Ever Released

What a well-thought response supported by solid research. Totally not a knee-jerk emotional response. No sir.

This is the tale of the girl who cried woof! and rolled her eyes. One day she rolled her eyes and no one cared :(

Is is possible to lose the game before it starts by being discarded because of health issues(mental and/or physical)?

A sort of pre-emptive game over

These kind of games need to be banned.

Is there not enough violence in the world already?

Way to make it clear you neither watched the video nor read the thread!

I haven't laughed this much since I saw the World of World of Warcraft preview by the same people.

Does the claims about "realism" in these video games ever actually annoy you service guys, combat-experienced or not?

Even without combat, I think a video game about paratrooper experience could be fun. We spend a ton of time playing MILES (laser-tag that includes missiles, vehicles, planes etc) in Louisiana, Arkansas and Death Valley, we jumped out of planes on a regular basis, practiced ambushes, practiced airfield seizures, practiced population interaction... we fired every sort of real weapon, pistols, rifles, missiles, rockets, machineguns, belt-fed automatic grenade launchers...

But probably 70% of the time (or more) was like this:

HURRY UP!!!

WAIT!!!

HURRY UP!!!

WAIT!!!

Well that and cleaning weapons, cleaning the motor pool, cleaning the barracks... getting crappy details on the weekend when you piss someone off who has rank... setting up and supervising DZs for remfs... running ranges... sitting on green-ramp for hours waiting for the bird to be ready...

Vomiting from drinking at 4am and running 10 miles at 7am...

I dunno about the realism as far as combat is concerned, but I suspect that not fearing death makes everyone a CMH winner in those games (I don't play FPS, I'm a strategy gamer).

I smell an expansion pack!

The "Nightlife" expansion pack.

You're in the barracks, it's the first Friday of the month and you have the weekend off... you have ~$1500 in the bank and all expenses are paid (free food, free housing, free medical...). So, expenses are taken care of and the bank is pure spending money.

+ 2-4 friends with just as much money to burn

+ convertable GT 5.0

+ Nickel night at "The Flaming Mug" (the inspiration for "Flaming Moe's"... alot of The Simpsons has stuff about Fayetteville/Ft.Bragg)

+ townie chicks

Hilarity ensues.

Or... we road-trip it (1 hour) to Raleigh and bar-party near the all-female college.

This is the apartment that my parent's got me so that I would go to this all-female college.
Fantastic. You don't mind if my buddies sleep in the living room, right?

There ya go, Zig... ask and recieve.

Does it come with the bonus level where your LT shakes his head at you while you explain how much you really love that stripper you married and gave power of attourney to three days before deployment?

I heard in the next patch there's a level where you spend several hours arguing frustratingly with an Irish communist about something which neither one of ye can prove is true or flase, yet both are adamant they are right about

How about where a chick rolls over to you in the morning and says "my husband is an E6 in SF" and you run frantically from the home. That happened to a friend of mine.

Or how about...

Two of your friends roll a '71 Gran Torino 3 times and then walk a mile back to base. You drive them to the hospital for x-rays and they are fine (seat-belts).

I got an idea for an rpg:

Socialist America - Modern Welfare.

During the game you can chose whether you want to walk the good or the evil path. One leads to bumming around the house playing video games the other leads to meeting people in front of the white house and creating witty and not-at-all overdone political picket signs.

Will there be dedicated servers? I hear the boys in Iraq have ´em...

Oh, the MW2 dedi server debate. It got old before it started.
