How do you do that screenshot with the dot map and city overlays SD? I find it very useful and I put the pic on my desktop where it is easy to refer to.
That Wonder cascade was expected and we came out of it very well as we will capture most of them. The Pyramids are in Cuzco so we dont need to build too many granaries, the English have the Lighthouse for when we want to move ships to the other continent and the Dutch, who could have stolen Zeus from us, went for the Great Library instead.
Our military is in great shape and I will aim to finish off the French and also build up infrastructure to let the next player decide who else to fight.
Pre-Turn:
Do a town-by-town check and change a few builds. We only have 12 workers for 17 towns so I order a few more. Boston has increase in 2, settler in 3 with a lot of overrun on both so I pinch Houstons game tile to get the increase in 1, and hopefully the settler in 2. This depends on where the new citizen goes to work. Is there any way to predict this? Change Chicago to settler to disband city. Change Paris to library for culture, as it is now a front line town. We have no boats left so I change New Orleans to galley. Denver has to expand to capture the whale so I switch to temple. Seattle has a granary so Ill build settlers there. And I can speed up Washingtons market by a turn.
Hit Enter.
IBT - Houston: Catapult => Market
A Dutch galley slips past Buffalo. Exploring or colonising? By the way is it possible to tell when a ship has units aboard? The French threaten Orleans with a regular archer and a regular warrior. Orleans has 10 swordsmen and 4 cats
Turn 1 330 BC: Attack Lyons with 5 swordsmen. The 1st sword is killed by a reg spear that only loses 1 hit point. 2nd sword ditto

Normal service is then resumed and the next 2 swordsmen take Lyons and destroy it with one promotion. Our first Ancient Cavalry arrives to break the siege of Orleans and is also promoted. Move our impressive stack of cats and swords towards Besancon.
Seattle and Washington are about to riot so I change the slider to 10% lux for one turn.
IBT - Boston: Settler => Settler
Buffalo: Worker => Worker
St. Louis: Granary => Worker
Detroit: Barracks => Library (can be changed to military later)
The Incas also move up to attack Besancon one turn too late.
The Dutch have entered the Middle Ages
Turn 2 310 BC: Our fur road completes and we now have 4 lux! Slider moved back. Cincinnati built on red dot. The second settler moves north to a spot on the lake between Paris and Orleans. Im not used to building cities so close together but it will fill a gap in our territory (and prevent the Incas taking it).
Our 4 cats take 2 hit points off the Besancon defenders and we kill three spears for the loss of one sword. The unused 5 swords move on towards Chartres. Our southern troops are healing while more cats move to join them.
IBT Seattle: Settler => Settler
The Dutch build Maastricht on our south coast between Denver and Chicago

I couldnt have headed them off even if I knew where they were going. Its not even in the right place; they must have their own dot map! The Incan troops head south towards Avignon, theyll be too late there as well.
Turn 3 290 BC: Move the swords up to Chartres with cats following. The new settler heads for lime dot.
IBT Buffalo: Worker => Galley
St. Louis: Worker => Worker
Zeus gives us another AC
Turn 4 270 BC: Philly grows and needs a scientist. Our frontline troops could take Chartres this turn but the backup cats are only one turn away so I wait. The southern group march on Avignon.
IBT A lot of Incan troop movement. Ill be glad when France is gone and they go back home.
Turn 5 250 BC: Our four cats take 3 hp this time and we destroy Chartres without loss gaining one worker and one gold. The Incas will pay 40 gold for Construction but that would put them in the Middle Ages so I leave it for now.
IBT Washington: Marketplace => Library
Boston: Settler => Settler (builds a settler every 4 turns if you adjust the food)
St. Louis Worker => Worker
Turn 6 230 BC: New Yorks second gold hill developed. Troops continue towards last French town.
Turn 7 210 BC: Dallas and Memphis founded. Our elite AC attacks a stray archer (we dont hit the jackpot). Troops move on Avignon for the final assault.
IBT Orleans: Worker => Temple
Chicago disbands
New Orleans Galley => Temple
Seattle: Settler => Settler
The Incas have entered the Middle Ages
Turn 8 190 BC: Our six cats take 3 hp out of the two Avignon defenders. A sword kills the first and I risk the wounded elite AC against a redlined spear. No leader but we have eliminated the French
IBT St. Louis: Worker => Worker
Zeus produces another AC
10 Incan troops start the long walk home
The Dutch dont like our galley in their territory. Get used to it.
Turn 9 170 BC: Chicago re-built.
IBT Boston: Settler => Settler
Atlanta: Aqueduct => Marketplace
New York: Market => Forbidden Palace??
Turn 10 150 BC: Settlers head east while our troops are returning home. Turn science down to 40%, Engineering in 2.
Summary: We have 20 towns and three settlers on the road. Ill leave someone who is better at dot maps to place them; there is a lot of empty territory. We are up to 18 workers. Our military is still scattered from the French campaign and the next player can decide where to send them. I left the AC in Atlanta as they were produced. We are level tech with Inca and the Dutch and well ahead of England and we still need to find the other continent. Im not sure the best site for the Forbidden Palace (I started it in NY). Also should we start a pre-build for Leonardo, possibly in Miami?
