Well I've played now (finally).
I went with Pigswill's save. Pretty much only because his saves are the only ones I hadn't run with previously. Its probably in a weaker position than Pholk's and Ozbenno's saves, but hey, I like the challenge.
Pretty much a consolidation set. No war, or even a real attempt at building for one. Infrastructure and a few cannons. Hell, you can never have enough cannons, eh?
Waited for Constitution to finish (4 turns) before swapping into Democracy, Free Speech, Caste System. That gave Madrid an unhappy or two, but with the Globe Theartre almost done, I decided to grimace and bear it. Damn, writing that now made me realise only one more Nat.Wonder for Madrid. Probably best to be Wall Street. At the end of my turns I'd started Oxford there... heads up for anyone playing this one. Probably best to stop that and build Wall Street once a few more banks complete. (Several building currently).
Later on swapped into Emancipation, the happy penalty was starting to effect a few cities and I wasn't keen to sacrifice research for culture.
Took out a defensive pact with Mansu early for some insurance against aggressors. It did put Qin and Toggy to annoyed with us, but I felt the deterrence value was more important.
Regiged a few trades as well. We seem to be quite healthy, but not so happy. Where possible, made trades for happies for healthies. Also cancelled a redundant resource trade (we now had rice hooked up).
Tech situation is a bit dire, but we've got some decent research output now.
Good luck sucker:
