[MULT] Pitboss Worldbuilding Challenge

so i was looking through the civ select menu after losing an indonesia game i nearly won with science, and i saw siam, one of my old favorites. so can i change to siam? dont get me wrong the shoshone are boss but i just havent played siam in a long time and that feels sad to me.

and cpm i wouldnt mind if all victory conditions were allowed. but i prefer we go none at all.

I am extremely peaceful. That's why I said the rug was made with 100% not made with stuff stolen from you (it's a Persian rug, and you'll be playing the Persian Empire, and...that joke fell completely flat.)

Just the way you said it made it sound like you were just trying to hide the fact that it was made from things that were stole from my empire. ;) But I believe you when you say you're really peaceful.

So, if sillsworth wants me to, I'll probably generate some maps with normal resources and see how they compare to these.

Yes pleez, PerfectWorld3 maps. Edit the map(s) if you can to space out natural wonders and switch ones to better, distant ones (alter Mesa to be on an isolated island, place Fuji in it's place). Add coasts to create low-tide bridges between close-together land forms (no more than three hexes, though). Fix Krakatoa in case it spawns (that's why all my maps are called KrakFix).
I'll turn off all victory conditions except for domination and culture (no diplo?), that way some World Wars could get going, with fronts and naval bases and e'rything.

Good for me.
I'll alter the Google Doc. Just don't name it Shebland yet. See what names roll off the tongue, summarize the city according the adjacent resources and worked tiles. I have to try dozens of names to get the perfect combo of aristocracy and industry that 'Lygon' deserves. Also keep in mind that there needs to be words for people from this area (Irish, Americans), as well as descriptive words for things from or pertaining to this area (Irish, American, Samoan). Also keep in mind that, unless your culture is against it, there will probably be several ethnic and immigrant groups inside each of these, each with different names.

Don't get so caught up in one culture naming-style yet! (Looking at you CPM, Dev!)
There's so much conlang to be had, don't limited yourself!

Oh, you want me to edit PerfectWorld3 maps? I was just going to generate some maps with stock map scripts and just show how they compare with how many resources are on these maps. But, sure, I'll do it if you want me to. ;)

And you don't want Krakatoa in this, right?

Okay, enabling those VCs sounds good. Diplo's a bit too easy, in my opinion.

Good for me.

Hey, I've only named my country (which, just so's you know, is a blatant rip-off of this movie.) I'm not naming any cities yet! We've still got a long, long way to go before this world's built.

i dont really consider myself to be part of any culture but the culture of mankind, but thats not on topic really. i plan to create a whole new people in this upcoming game, and i dont want be limited by the real world. i will hold off the names for now though.

and if we must have at least one vc enables i vote score. sure its not the most liked, but its based on a multiude of factors, which would allow world wars and other stuff to.

I've been generating "Abundant" maps with more snakyness and some code-messing-around-with. IT'S REALLY DIFFICULT. So far I have gotten too-Abundant maps. Which is a series issue.

Is it too late for me to join? At first I didn't think I would have enough time, but I think I can do it.

If you're up for the writing/worldbuilding challenge there is still 2 more open slots. How are you with worldbuilding? Need help? Any civ you want? Can you make the time deadlines?

Okay, I've been editing more code. I'm getting a feel for this now. I have a PW3 mod that adds more bays, inlets, smaller seas like the Mediterranean. There is no one large sea, only narrow seas and coastal passageways. There also seems to be a lot of jungle, but I could probably alter that so there's also plains and deserts and stuff. Would you guys like larger seas, or snaky-continents hugging each other, with multiple seas?

as long as there are oceans like the altantic i dont really mind which one. i vote for small seas.

and i have done it only for a writing project before. got an B+ on it. i was inspired to do more by tj hafer's swedish and celtic gameplays, but never found the time until recently. math and spanish,my 2 worst subjects, kept me from writing more.

There will not be no large oceans. Either small seas, or larger oceans, that's our options.

Have you worldbuilt before? Read a lot into these subjects or subjects pertaining to alternate worlds? Have any stuff like this we could read?

Shut up Arabia

Actually, I take that back. I vote all Desert.

Seriously, though, I would suggest we drop back the amount of Jungle a tad (unless someone wants to play Brazil), as Jungle is the most aggravatingly annoying terrain in the game.

I have NO idea to do that. I'll try in the morning, after I sleep. I think I broke Civ. Both versions of PerfectWorld3 are now buggy, I'll have to re-download. I tried to play a game.
This happened.

I have no idea why any of this is going on. I fiddled too hard. I have to unfiddle now.

Yeah, that doesn't look too good...if it'll still work, just break out the KrakFix 7 map. We'll make do even without a ton of resources.
