Multiplayer hack?

Well the strategy seems somewhat impossible like what islandia said it would be very hard to bully all the city states in the game before turn 40-50. Heck most games I havnt even found 10 cs by turn 50 let alone have the military to bully them. Not to mention the fact that bullying 10 cs's in early game will not give you 2000 gold.

The fact that you won't share your strategy also makes it fishy. Why did you start this thread? Just to show everyone your conceited attitude?

I searched your profile and checked your aliases and found that you are a member of NQ and CPL but nobody has seen you play any games in either group lately. So I ask you why don't you come try this strategy out against some well known players in either of these 2 groups instead of picking on the pubbers on prince difficulty?

Although I agree early gold can be very helpful I don't think its integral to have a good game of civ. Depending on your strategy I suppose it could help in different ways. For example most players who find an early wonder with spain buy a settler or 2. But for a player who likes a tall empire may buy granaries or libraries.

So I'm curious what do you spend this wealth of gold on?

So why exactly did you bring up this 2000 gold thing in the OP? If your goal is to ask about hacks then it serves no purpose and is just bragging.

Saying I have this mazing thing but I won't tell you how I do it pretty obviously leads to people thinking you are hacking too but you still did that.

Stii some peoples ego's work as blinders. I agree it's a shame. This thread was solely to boost one's ego. An ego created by playing public players on prince level^^ .......need I say more?

its pretty simple, if a strategy beats me its a good one, it doesnt - well go improve

I can only assume you use a navy as Austria? Or a lot of horsemen/chariot archers (My guess)

Anyways I have been one of the people in the GK forum talking about how powerful the Jaguar is too (Particularly in Multi) now not for war but for massive growth from bullying city states and rush buying infrustructure in your tall empire.

I tend to only do a bully strat though when there are a lot of city states nearby. So I am interested did you do it when the city states were spread out? Or were they all closeby in clusters when you got your 2k gold?

Doesnt the ai on deity usually get vast amounts of happiness and tons of gold?

and wouldnt you say it generally beats you?

well just stop playing public games and think winning them makes you ANY good.

Obviously beating deity ai is as easy as winning public games - its ai and there are like 1000 ways to abuse ai weaknesses - so just choose 1 of them.

And maybe also stop thinking you are 1. who found ways to abuse CS - some tax them, some steal workers, some capture workers just to have them resteal by barbs, some gather free xp and gold by fighting them.

I think this declaring war and peace same turn over and over was patched out last patch? it was even more cheesy and effective as making them pay.

There is a reason why most league games are played without CS.

Also there is a reason why NQ is rising when league is declining - but thats another argument all together :p

@ HelloGoodbye
You go for all city states? Thats interesting because many city states can be very out of the way. So to head to all of them I am assuming you need a very mobile unit force. Scouts/Jaguars/Ships/chariot archers/horsemen. And since it seems like you are playing public games - the fact you don't have to worry about troops coming to your empire as much is nice :p.

Anyways almost every game I get there are several city states that are in fairly rough terrain and hard to reach or on the other side of opposing empires making it extremely risky to send a lot of forces to those city states. Also how many rounds do you bully city states (How many times do you bully each city state?) 1,2,3 or more times? Normally I play NQ so it doesn't take long for city states to build up decent enough armies that it takes a while/a lot of forces to bully the city state again so I might stop after 2-3 bullies each and focus on more growth.

If you are afraid of your strategy leaking out - you could pm me if you don't want to let it out it publicly in the forum - because I am curious to know.

------------

Also how far do you feel you have to be from the city state to bully it - I feel like it varies too often and I haven't been able to find the pattern/formula yet.

City states are an integral part of civ in my opinion. To play a game without them is leaving out a large part of the game. Especially in G&K with the new quests.
Not to mention that some civs benefits are city state based.

The peace/war every turn hasn't been fixed yet and I don't see any info on it in the new upcoming patch.

Since I added the new rule regarding city states in NQ we haven't had any problems with abuse of game mechanics. Most players just want a fair game for fun. It was only a select few who were using this to there advantage.

The bullying I've been testing a bit. It is fairly easy to get gold from them if you have the largest army. If you bully them all on the same turn you don't need units near them even.......still testing.

I will say though. I think it's better to have them as your ally in the long run. $150 gold from a cultural cs and all quests canceled. Or +12 culture per turn indefinitely if you complete a quest and place a spy. Same could be said about all kinds of city states. The bonuses are far greater than the gold.

Ok leave away the cheesy stuff - the barb camp quest can be done only by 1 player while bullying can be done by most (the military strong ones)

The "problem" with CS is that lot with them if very random, getting right quests maybe some even let their worker get stolen by barbs- map position ....
So "being good" at alieing or using CS is very much luck dependent

Well - some people just wana decide skill as much as possible - some like luck stuff.
I myself like sp style latly and therefore got no problems with CS in games - but as said - in end they r just a luck and abuse factory with good players.

Also there is a reason why NQ is rising when league is declining - but thats another argument all together

wish this was true - d like do some ffas in weekends latly - but seems good NQ players and this ranq thing is even more dead as league

played as spain and i got 4000g in the first 40 turns lol"

Unless you post print screens of your games (map, econ view, demographics) nobody is going to take anything you say seriously. I have yet to take any of your posts on civfanatics seriously, but I could be convinced with some flashy screenprints:cool:

Getting 4000g in 40 turns - well if you play with people who quit and you steal all of the AIs gold, this starts making more sense. With screen shots we could see if your opponents are AI or humans.

And again... simply showing that you are talking the talk with screen shots will put your cred up several notches higher.:goodjob:

And finally - I would really enjoy being in the same game as you, please tell us what time/server you will be on. I will play a respectful-fun filled game with you.:)
