Multiple leaders confirmed? [Source: Reddit] [Hoax]

This was the fastest background I've ever painted, this was just too good today to miss out on. :D I still have to practice a bit to match Firaxis' style and quality, though. But on the other hand, all of the backgrounds we've seen so far are rather sketchy themselves, so I don't think I'm that far off.

HVIIIers gonna HVIII. :D
they planned it all along, #IlluminatiConfirmed #itsPhilipII #onemoreleader #CivAnon

It's fake guys!

I made a nice leaderscreen which I shared with fellow modders and then got passed around way too much until someone thought it was legit. We modders decided to play along and see what happens.

Credits to Jan for the BG BTW.

Don't know whether to be happy or sad about this; sad there will not be multiple leaders, or happy because the awesome work you are doing.

This doesn't mean there will not be multiple leaders. That's YEC logic.

I love his look Sukritact! It has a great claymation feel to it. :goodjob::clap::hatsoff:

Btw: Will his unique ability include Longbows? :groucho:

Multiple leaders for the same civ ... In the same game!

It's what I want.
One or two percent chance of leadership change every turn; may switch back and forth multiple times per game. :D

Keep players on their toes!

Creationism logic? Not really. Evidence in general points against multiple leaders (others have already laid out reasons for this, so I won't). When this popped up, I was very suprised, but now it turns out to be a mistake, I think we can safely say that multiple leaders, at least any time soon, are hardly a likelihood.

It wouldn't make much sense to put a leader bonus into a game for only one leader for each civ.
So, 100% sure there will be civs with multiple leaders in civ6. Replaying the game with or against the same leader(s) will be boring very quick. (see civ5)

Why do people like the feature of multiple leaders? They'll mostly play the same as the other leader of the same civ, but with 1 or 2 details different. I'd rather have them work on new civs that give a complete new flavours and gameplay.

Because Firaxis has made some dubious leader choices.

Or annoying/overused/boring/generally annoying ones.

Like Gandhi!

Moderator Action: As this was a hoax I am going to close this up to avoid confusion
