We really need to get this game started. People are already bickering and fighting, making alliances and such. The game hasn't even taken off :P

Let's take these back and forth comments to the field, gents!

Agreed. Even if it means killing SoH, I don't think anyone would really mind. :p

I endorse the above two statements.

The Republic of Nueva Brasil is looking for some good allies, preferably ones that don't backstab. :p Any offers I accept will result (mostly) in military aid and trade rights.

On the Vehicles of the 501st Legion: Entry I: The All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) Variants

Preamble: Durability. Firepower. Intimidation. These are words that characterize all AT-AT variants utilized by the 501st Legion. It is common knowledge that the original walker designs were incredibly useful in their own right, but nearly a millennium of scientific discoveries, specializations, & redesigns have made the new generation of walkers fearsome beasts able to turn the tide of any battle.
  • Arctic Terrain Armored Transport (ArtT-AT): The Tundra, Ice Sheets & Polar Deserts of the World pose a unique challenge to any machine walker; the cold has a tendency to interfere with the function of moving parts, while the far northern & southern latitudes at which these cold temperatures are found tend to have higher levels of radiation. The many catastrophic wars utilizing weapons of mass destruction over the past centuries have only exacerbated these problems. The solutions are many; the use of special synthetic oils & metallic compounds have allowed the walkers to experience their full range of motion, while insulation in the interior walls lessen the energy needed to warm the inside of the walker. Solid Solutions that function as an excellent protector against most forms of radiation, solid projectiles, & energy weapons coat the walker. As for armament, the ArtT-AT sports 4 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons & 2 Heavy Repeating Laser Cannons on the front of the vehicle, while the rear is protected by 2 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons. The ArtT-AT carries a complement of 8 Arctic Speeder Bikes and 4 ArtT-STs, with room for 50 Snowtroopers and consumables enough to keep the ArtT-AT moving & fighting for a full 5 years without reinforcements or supply drops.
  • Forested Terrain Armored Transport (FT-AT): What little forests remain in the world are highly favored by rebels, dissidents, & guerillas due to the cover provided by the vegetation; a well-trained, highly-motivated force can easily defeat a better equipped one by utilizing hit-and-run tactics from a forest base. Thus, the need for an AT-AT designed specifically to fight in these dense regions, to annihilate the enemies of the 501st Legion-without overly harming the forest itself- became obvious. The FT-AT was designed to overcome these problems. Much taller than other AT-AT variants, with stronger, more precise limbs, the FT-AT is able to maneuver through most dry tropical, temperate, & northern forests without disturbing the vegetation. Due to the FT-AT being designed more as a mobile base from which her complement of 14 Forest Speeders, 8 FT-STs, & 120 Forest Troopers can root out & destroy enemy encampments than as a weapon in its own right, her armament is minimal, being equipped only with 2 Medium Repeating Blasters on the front & rear of the vehicle. The FT-AT is built to last, and expected to go on long missions without reinforcement, and as such is able to support itself & its complement for about 2 years without being resupplied.
  • Steppe Terrain Armored Transport (ST-AT): With flatlands dominating much of the 501st Legion’s backyard, it was decided that an AT-AT variant perfectly suited to dominate the battlefields of these areas was worth designing. The ST-AT was the end result of that process. Sleeker & faster than other variants, the ST-AT forgoes most forms of camouflage in favor of upping the intimidation factor. Sharp, angular lines with large, protruding weapons emplacements, combined with the ST-AT’s imperial grey color, ensure that enemy troops facing down one of these behemoths are suitably demoralized. Her high top speed & acceleration rate, coupled with the 4 Heavy Repeating Laser Cannons & 6 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons on the front ensure that no enemies escape the wrath of ST-AT, while the 2 Heavy Repeating Laser Cannons & 2 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons prevent any hostiles from taking the ST-AT down from behind. Her complement has been reduced to lessen the ST-ATs weight & allow it to move that much faster, but she does carry 2 ST-STs, 4 Steppe Speeders, & 40 Steppetroopers should backup be needed. Her cargo of consumables has also been reduced to increase her speed, holding only enough to support herself & her complement for about 6 months.
  • Jungle Terrain Armored Transport (JT-AT): As with the dry forests, the world’s remaining wet forests are favorite targets of outmatched forces. The challenges posed to walkers in wet & tropical forests include most of those faced by walkers in dry forests, with the additional obstacles of oppressive heat & moisture. The need for an Armored Transport variant specialized for fighting in marshes, monsoon forests, & rainforests was abundantly clear. Thus, the JT-AT was born. Like the FT-AT, the JT-AT serves more as a mobile supply base for its complement than as a weapon, but the unique conditions posed by wet forests necessitate that the JT-AT be able to hold its own in combat. She is equipped with 2 Medium Repeating Laser Cannons & 4 Medium Repeating Blaster Cannons at the front, with her rear being guarded by 2 Medium Repeating Blaster Cannons. Her armor is very thick, & made of a special alloy designed to keep out moisture, with insulation in the interior of the transport keeping heat & moisture at bay. As with the FT-AT, it is expected that her complement do most of the fighting, and for this reason she is equipped with 14 Jungle Speeders, 6 JT-STs, and 80 Jungletroopers. The JT-ST is expected to go on long missions, and as such, she is equipped with consumables enough for 2 years.
  • Arid Terrain Armored Transport (AriT-AT): With the square miles of desert on Earth growing by the century, the creation of an AT-AT variant specialized for combat in these harsh environments was a top priority for 501st scientists & engineers. The AriT-AT was the culmination of their work. Lower to the ground than other AT variants, she was designed with highly reflective armor and maximized surface area, both to minimize the heat absorbed & maximize the heat radiated & reflected. Her reflective armor has the added bonus of making it highly difficult for enemy troops to focus properly when aiming at her; unfortunately, it also makes heat-based targeting systems that much more likely to home in on the AriT-AT. To combat the threat posed by such systems, the AriT-AT comes equipped with the thickest, strongest armor of all Armored Terrain variants, with a particle shield capable of stopping large warheads in their tracks. Her interior has been specially insulated to keep heat out & moisture in, decreasing the power needed for such tasks. She is armed with 4 Heavy Repeating Laser Cannons & 4 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons on the front & 4 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons on the rear, and is assisted by a complement of 6 AriT-STs, 10 Arid Speeders, & 60 Aridtroopers. The AriT-AT is able to survive a wide variety of emergencies, and carries enough consumables for missions of 5 years or less.
  • Alpine Terrain Armored Transport (AlpT-AT): The 501st Legion, with the Rocky Mountain Range running through her heart, has long recognized the need for walkers specially modified to work in high altitude environments. Much smaller than other AT variants, the AlpT-AT is much, much lower to the ground, with magnetic clamps on its feet that allow the walker to cling fast to the steepest mountain peaks. Forgoing speed for stability, the AlpT-AT is among the slowest of the AT variants. Her armor was designed to minimize weight while at the same time maximizing protection against the radiation found at higher altitudes & conventional and energy weaponry alike. She is armed with 2 Heavy Repeating Laser Cannons & 4 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons on the front, and 2 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons on the rear. Due to the challenges posed to any military vehicle in a mountainous environment, the AlpT-AT does not carry any Scout Walkers, utilizing instead 20 Alpine Speeders & 100 Alpinetroopers when in need of backup. The difficulty in supplying military forces in mountain ranges means that the AlpT-AT is expected to be able to supply itself for a long time, and carried consumables adequate for a 5 year mission.
  • Advanced All Terrain Armored Transport (AAT-AT): The baseline from which the more specialized variants were designed, the AAT-AT is the result of centuries of refinement & research. Purposefully unspecialized, the AAT-AT is very durable, and serves primarily as backup for other AT variants, and as mobile garrison bases for cities & other urban environments. Armed with 4 Heavy Repeating Blaster Cannons & 2 Heavy Repeating Laser Cannons on the front & assisted by a complement of 4 AAT-STs, 10 Speeders, & 50 Stormtroopers, the AAT-AT remains a fearsome sight on the battlefield. She may be outdated, but she still packs a punch, and enemy troops would do well not to underestimate the capabilities of the aging AAT-AT.
  • Benthic Terrain Armored Transport (BT-AT): As technology advances & more & more about the ocean is discovered, it is inevitable that sapient life will begin colonizing the seafloor; indeed, many in the 501st Legion suspect that other nations have already begun plans to claim the resources of the ocean & the seafloor for themselves. And where people go, war inevitably follows; it is therefore natural that plans for an AT variant that can dominate the seafloor be composed. The BT-AT was the culmination of decades of research by the 501st Legion’s top scientists. With extremely thick, light armor perfectly capable of withstanding the intense pressures found in the deepest of the deep-water trenches, the BT-AT is sure to dominate any battlefield she finds herself in. Armed not with Blasters or Lasers, the BT-AT sports an armament of 4 Heavy Mass Driver Cannons, 2 Heavy Torpedo Launchers, & 4 Medium Torpedo Launchers at the front of the walker & 2 Heavy Mass Driver Cannons, 2 Heavy Torpedo Launchers, & 2 Medium Torpedo Launchers at the rear; for backup, she carries a deadly complement of 12 BT-STs and 120 Benthictroopers more than capable of projecting the power of the 501st Legion to the darkest depths of the ocean. Given the sheer size of the seafloor, and the length of the missions the Benthic Walkers are expected to engage in, the BT-AT carries consumables adequate to keep itself & its complement alive & fighting for a period of 15 years without being resupplied.

Coming Soon- On the Vehicles of the 501st Legion: Entry II: The All Terrain Scout Transport (AT-ST) Variants

You just started a vehicle description war you won't win, Kinich!

Aye, wait until I got a of work to evade from. And until I have completed RP for the other games.

RP won't be added to your stats until the second turn; the first turn is basically everyone getting their cash and placing their bets on what they think is the best investment. And the second turn wouldn't roll around until a week, since you know, I'm busyfox.

That said, I think I should hold a poll in SoH. Most MP2 players are also in that, so let me go do that right now...

Machines of War, In Service to the Patriarch

Jetbike: Londoner Jetbikes are fast, agile, and mobile vehicles used by largely Inquisition forces, conscripts, and adherents to the Blazing Lance, a sub-branch of the Soldier-Inquisition. The anti-gravity vehicle is capable of moving over all forms of rough terrain, buildings, and water. Due to the rapid response capability and ease of use of jetbikes, an unarmed police variant is currently in use across the kingdom. Military jetbikes are armed with twin-linked shuriken catapults a shuriken cannon. The Jetbike is only capable of lifting one person safely.

The anti-gravity capability makes the vehicle a favorite of the coast guard.

The Blazing Lances have turned the Jetbike from a mere machine of war to a knightly weapon. Blazing Lances arm themselves with Laser Lances, weapons capable of delivering a high-energy strike on point that can pierce nearly any armor. The incredible speeds of the Jetbikes lend it to be a hit-and-run weapon.

Jetbikes, except those used by the Blazing Lances, are powered by a Unitary Stone.

Vyper: The Vyper is the older, heavier brother of the Jetbike. Vypers are crewed by a pilot and the gunner. The Vyper has an enclosed cockpit for the the pilot and has heavier armor than the Jetbike, making it slower and less mobile overall, but still a great deal faster than most, if not all-land based vehicles. The Vyper can also carry a greater array of weapons such as twin-mounted shuriken catapults, a cannon, laser weapons, or other common heavy weapons of London forces. The speed of the Vyper, combined with the relative low-cost and light armor, means Vypers often go into battle in wolf packs.

Vypers are often powered by a Unitary Stone.

War Walker: War Walkers are bipedal, single-pilot chicken-legged walkers which can carry two different types of weapons into combat. War Walkers are scout vehicles and lightly-armored, relying on the light armor and reverse-legged mount to move high speed over even rough terrain. The War Walker makes use of a holo-field, an image distortion device which makes the vehicle difficult to target.

Uniquely, the machine is powered by a Duality Stone. The Duality Stone allows the soul attached to it, usually a former War Walker pilot, to power the vehicle. As opposed to a Unitary Stone, a Duality Stone grants the soul a closer attachment to the vehicle. This brings the soul and pilot closer as the vehicle gains a personality of sorts. Duality Stone powered vehicles perform up to 70% more effectively than a Unitary Stone powered equivalent.

Like the Vyper, War Walkers travel in wolf packs.

Leo Gravity Tank: The Leo Gravity Tank is the younger, more powerful brother of the Vyper. The Leo Gravity Tank is capable of squad transportation, has heavier (if still relatively light) armor than the Vyper, and is armed with a laser pulse cannon and twin-linked shuriken catapults. This doesn't take into account the ability of the single-pilot vehicle to mount another Londoner heavy weapon. The Leo Gravity Tank is equipped with an advanced targeting system to bulky to place on the machines lifted earlier, but greatly improves accuracy of the Leo's many weapon systems.

The Leo Gravity Tank is powered by a Unitary Stone.

Wave Serpent: The Wave is based on the Leo. The Wave Serpent is cheaper and is armed with twin-linked shuriken catapults standard, with the option for another twin-linked weapon system. The Wave Serpent is the main troop transport of London. The Wave Serpent replaces the advanced targeting system of the Leo for an advanced energy shield generator that projects a kinetic dampening field in front of the vehicle as well as stop or reduce energy ordinance.

Fire Prism: Another vehicle based on the Leo. The Fire Prism sacrifices the weapons of the Leo for the Prism Cannon. The Fire Prism fires a high-energy laser down the turret toward the crystal prism at the end, which can be set to either fire a single, powerful beam or a scattered, shotgun laser blast. Interestingly, Fire Prisms can combine their fire, amplifying the powerful of a beam or scattered beams.

Firestorm: Another Leo based machine. The Firestorm's main weapon is the Firestorm Cannon, a rotating triple- extended barrel scatter laser. The machine provides excellent anti-air and anti-infantry fire.

Night Spinner: The Leo is extremely prolific. The Night Spinner is an artillery vehicle equipped with the Shadow Weaver. The Shadow Weaver is filled with an organic fluid kept liquid with magnetism. When fired, the fluid forms microthreads that are linked together like a net with magnetic clamps. When these nets land on an enemy mass, the net can cut through light-armor and flesh and is designed to contract the more the captured struggles.

Wraithguard: Death is not the end of the elite. Their souls descend to the Infinity Circuit, to live in peace until they are bound to a Unitary, Duality, or Wraith Stone. The Wraithguard is a heavily-armored, bipedal machine powered and controlled by the soul bound to a Wraith Stone. Wraithguards tower over the average man greatly, usually taller than a double-decker bus.

Wraithgaurds are built using Wraithbone, a unique material psycho-reactive material capable of allowing the Wraithguard to move like a normal human and thanks to the Wraithstone, enemies in front of the Wraithguard often have trouble believing that there really isn't a giant in a suit of armor.

The Wraithguard are armed with a short-range cannon called the Wraithcannon, a scaled down version of the stationary turret D-Cannon. The Wraithcannon open a small hole into a hellish reality. Against infantry, the weapon is nearly always fatal to be hit by. The weapon is extremely versatile versus armor. The rift can take out chunks of the armor while pulling on the crew. The gravity forces at work can also wreak havoc on both armor and infantry.

Wraithlord: The truest heroes of London are privileged to power a Wraithlord, a machine that towers over even the Wraithguard. Little is known about this magnificent, dreadful weapon of war other than that it's design makes the weapon extremely graceful, fast, armored, and powerful. The Wraithlords use a wide variety of weapons, from shruiken cannons to wraithcannons. All are equipped with a holo-field.

An extremely powerful psyker powering a Wraithlord is called a "Wraithseer".

Cobra: An anti-gravity vehicle armed with a gun so large it doesn't hover too far off the ground. The Corba is equipped with a Distortion Gun and comes in tank-destroyer variant of turret variant. The Cobra TD is more accurate, while the Cobra is more mobile. The Distortion Cannon is like its younger brother, the wraithcannon. The Distortion Cannon rips a larger rift into the hellish dimension, and has a stronger gravity force attached to it. Slow to fire and charge, the Distortion Cannon is capable of destroying nearly any vehicle it runs into with a single-shot.

Scorpion: Scorpions are armed with a dual-pulsar cannon, a much more powerful version of the pulse cannon of the Leo. The vehicle is larger, slower, and comes with heavier armor. It sacrifices the troop transportation ability of a Leo for the pulsar cannon and the advanced targeting system.

Storm Serpent: The Storm Serpent is large, first of all. It is an anti-gravity vehicle as well. It is also armed with a lot of small-weapon systems. Surprisingly, the vehicle is a troop transport vehicle without actually carrying troops, but rather a portal from which troops pour out from. When the vehicle is destroyed, the portal is as well probably.

Void Spinner: The Night Spinner's younger, slightly-illegal sister. The Void Spinner's webs are coated with a highly dangerous biochemical designed to poison those caught in the net (which is the first benefit) as well as infect the earth and sterilize it.

Renevant Scout Titan: The Renevant Scout Titan is a War Walker boosted up to eleven. Somehow still graceful, but certainly far more expensive. The Scout Titan is larger than a Wraithlord and is equipped with pulse lasers and missile launchers, as well as a jump jet pack.

Phantom Titan: Larger than the Scout Titan. The Phantom Titan isn't all that much more armored (relatively) compared to a Scout Titan, but it has a powerful holo-field and relies on fast, precise high-powered strikes. As such, the Phantom Titan mixes it up with both gigantic melee weapons and ranged weapon systems.

Wraithtitan: A Wraithtitan is powered by several Wraithstones of powerful psykers, which is good, given the Wraithtitan is the largest land-system London fields. The Wraithtitan has tremendous psychic ability due to the concentration of psychic power.

“Tell me more, Daddy!” the little girl cried. She hugged her father tightly. The powerful, muscular man stroked his beard with a free hand, smiling at his only child.

“Of course, Tay,” he said. “Did Mr. Murphy’s lessons not satisfy your curiosity?”

The six-year-old girl shook her head impishly. In another ten years or so, she’d be old enough for anti-aging treatments. Her father, though physically in his prime, was nearly eighty.

“Mr. Murphy’s boring,” she said. “I don’t like him.”

The man laughed. “Of course, child. I forgot your distaste for a classroom – even a small one such as Mr. Murphy’s!”

The man leaned back in his chair. “Now let’s see. Where shall I begin?”

“From the beginning, of course,” Taylor chastised. Her father laughed again, his voice loud and powerful as always.

“Of course. Let’s see. At the start, there was the Dark Age of chaos – no one knows all the terrible, terrible things that were done in that era, but they were dark indeed, and savage. Times best left to memory by civilized men, to be written of in books but never relived.

“But out of the darkness came the glorious King William, forging the Kingdom of New England. No one knows why he called it that, but, well – that’s lost to history. William established a Kingdom of the People, wherein every citizen had a vote in important issues, and could elect representatives to speak for their interests. When the dust settled, New England was a wonderful, elegant place ruled by William’s ancestors. For a hundred years New England stood, but it was not to last.

“People in New England, upset with the perceived inaction of their government, began first protesting the slow, lethargic action and lack of direction from their capital in the fabled city of Philadelphia. After that, civil war erupted between factions on several sides of the dispute, each thinking themselves better suited to rule this land of the free. In the process, much was discovered of the Ancient Americans who predate us, and even the civilizations that flourished here after their fall, and their contact with other global powers.

“When this war ended, seventy years ago, I was but a lad. Emperor Rafael, my father, agreed with all his advisers on one thing: this electoral process had been the bringer of strife to New England. Perhaps it is not unbridled evil, but the people are truly not ready for their share of voice in the government of the Empire. Thus, the City of Kings in Philadelphia was renamed Imperium, and the American Empire was established to rule the north!”

“Tell me more!” Taylor squeaked. “About you, daddy! Your campaigns against the Northern wildmen, or the southerners! Your meeting with the swampland folk!”

“They don’t call themselves that, Tay,” the Emperor of America chastised. “You’ll be Empress someday – the first woman ever to rule the Empire! It’s an enormous responsibility.”

The little blonde girl grinned happily. “I’ll do it just like you, Daddy,” she said. “Every day!”

“I know you will,” the Emperor said. He ruffled his daughter’s hair. “I know you will.”

Well, you're certainly going to take an economic hit if Somali corporations refuse to do business in your country.
We do not require the whims of the burgouise to run our nation, as you do; our economy runs on the might and the will of the People.

We really need to get this game started. People are already bickering and fighting, making alliances and such. The game hasn't even taken off :P

Let's take these back and forth comments to the field, gents!
This is normal for an IOT with a signup thread. :p
