20 Wasnt a huge deal. 15/16 is big becuase of driving privilages. 18 Because of Voting and offical "adulthood", and 21 becaus of alcohol consumption. After that each year is just another year closer to death.
There's nothing really to "look forward" to, like when you're young.
I guess there's 65, for retirement, but thats not a hard number. I suppose you get the senior discount at resteruants too. Still, not the most exciting landmarks.
I do remember the time I "stopped" being a teenager, it felt right, natural, and a bit of "about damn time."

Also, I think sureshot would take issue with the idea that Lostkitten is the only female on the forum worth talking to. It might be slightly masochistic, but i seem to enjoy it.
Besides, Lostkittens appeal has nothing to do with her gender, it has to do with her crazy. Her particular brand of crazy is a bit envigorating. Everyone can sense the young ones energy and excitement for all things FfH. Whats not to like? As for the Civkid/Lostkitten immenant romance? I'll just look the other way and distract myself with loud music and book conversations with Chand~.

Birthdays are like Blackjack, everything over 21 is bad.
Serious mode: After you reach a certain age and assumedly maturity level, society rightly decrees (implicitly) that further privleges must be earned by accomplishment. For example, a few years ago, I was given societal sanction (not legal, mind you, but according to cultural norms) to have children. Not because I had merely existed for 23 years, but because I convinced a woman of my kindness and wisdom, and was willing to stake my fortunes on hers. i.e., I got married. That's something to look forward to, but it won't happen just by traveling around the planet another year, but by earning it.
Likewise, earlier this year I got hired for a job, not becuase I turned a certain age, but because of my resume and interview.
etc.
That's the way the world works best--after childhood, if you want privleges, you earn them through responsible behavior.
