My friend here needs some help with beating acne:

1- what wash is best?

2- how often do you wash?

3- even if acne goes away, do you still wash your face?

4- When does acne naturally go away?

5- is acne really influenced by eating?

Please help my friend...

I have acne and i am trying to treat it so i feel i can be some help.

1- Anything prescribed by a doctor. None of that over the counter trash.

2- At least once a day.

3- Dont know, but i would keep doing it for a couple weeks afterwards to make sure.

4- About late twenties or early 30s but if you dont get rid of it it will leave scars.

5- Not at all. Thats a total myth.

Is this friend really you btw? ;)

It just seems funny if this is your friends problem why your doing it for him.

1- what wash is best? Perscription

2- how often do you wash? Per instrutions

3- even if acne goes away, do you still wash your face? Ummmm yea.

4- When does acne naturally go away? For some people never. For most some time after puberty is fully over.

5- is acne really influenced by eating? No. It has many causes but food aint it.

Please help me friend...

After being a teenager, I still have no good advice.

Keep your face clean, but excessive washing increases your oil output.

DON'T touch the pimples as they're growing, because the irritation will inflame the area.

I stoped having sevear acne after I turned 20. I still have the scars from the major acne outbreaks and I am not sure if there is anything to repair the scars.

My brother had really bad acne and he had to be prescribed what was then an experimental drug, Roacatane...

There seems to be a difference between serious acne and spots, however...

I had quite bad spots, but I found the following helps:

1. Wash with face with soap only once a day (keeps linen clean) and with water in the morning. This seems to stop the skin secreting too much oil.

2. Above all, if you pick at your spots, wash immediately afterwards with soap, as bacteria spread around.

1- what wash is best?
Turpentine mixed with citrus acid

2- how often do you wash?
Once every 8/9ths of an hour. precisely

3- even if acne goes away, do you still wash your face?
No, after the treatment you no longer have skin to have acne into.

4- When does acne naturally go away?
It actually never does. Well, it settles a bit after puberty, and completely after life.

5- is acne really influenced by eating?
Most certainly yes. Eat a lot of chocolate and steroids, and your face will look like Io.

Oh. then just ignore everything I said... except for the clauses 4 and 5...

1)Unless it's something specially presecribed stick to small amounts of soap, and water. Most of the other stuff doesn't help, and can actually make acne a lot worse. Also, don't overdo the soap, since it clogs pores very well on it's own account.

2)Once or twice a day

3)Yes

4)In general somewhere around 20, but it depends a lot on hereditary. It is not all that unusual for acne to persist much longer, and in some cases can be a permanent problem. Acne scars will also last much longer than the acne itself, and in severe cases may also be permanent.

5)Yes, though not nearly as much as some people make out. If everything you eat is fried in a bucket of lard, it's going to make matters worse, but even a fairly bad diet will have minimal effect on acne. Vitamins make no difference to acne unless you're close to getting scurvy anyway.

I don't know about serious acne, but all I ever did was put either sudo creme (at first) or later E45 (or something like that... that moisturiser you can find in big tubs) on my face every night and hold my long hair back with a scarf or something while sleeping, that helped a tonne.

I guess ive been lucky but ive never got acne, got a couple of spots but thats about it AND yes i have gone through puberty smart arses :p

I have some messed up acne. At this point, it's all scars. I hope they fade...

im really lucky i never really got acne - but what food you eat is irrlevant - its all to do with hormone levels... ever wonder why your parents have hardly any spots if any at all.. EVER?

I believe that's Roaccutane. The one I used, and the only one that worked for me. It's a really serious drug (forget it if you're pregnant), and i had to do monthly blood samples so that my doctor could check if everything was OK.

But in three months it was gone for good.

1- what wash is best?
one with Benzoyl Peroxide
2- how often do you wash?
As directed by the package
3- even if acne goes away, do you still wash your face?
yes
4- When does acne naturally go away?
When you are no longer a hormonally driven teen
5- is acne really influenced by eating?
Somewhat, a balanced diet has been shown to reduce acne in some study when compared to people who ate large amounts of "junk food". Of course, one study is not enough to prove a point.

1. Soap is what I use, but Oxy moisture pads for the face work wonders. You can see how much dirt is realy on your face.

2. In the morning and night, espicaly in the shower.

3. If you want to prevent more breakouts

4. I dunno, Im only 13

5. No clue

What helps the best is when ever you or he engages in any physical activity immediately make an attempt to wash is ASAP...it helps alot

also Proactive works...I use it and I have seen a big difference...I didn't beleive it either till my parents forced me to try it.
