My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

If yall are looking for a group search meetup.com for my little pony. There are quite a few brony groups on it and so there is likely one nearby.

See, nonbelievers? Northern Texans like it, therefore it is manly.

False, northern Texans are manly because they like MLP.

I got my girlfriend addicted. At first she was pretty much like "WTH is this" but the day after I showed her episode three she called me and said she had watched all first 5 eps.

*success fist*

also, I found perhaps the most epic pony-related video ever conceived, but it has a fair bit of language in it, so PM me for a link; I can't post it here.
Score!

Is there anything cuter than cuddling with your GF while watching MLP?

PS, PM me the link

Grand Slam!

SO amazing, oh BTW I've already seen in

The popularity of MLP on the internet is the result of a highly successful raid by /co/ on /b/. A small group of people posted ponies, trying to troll, but apparently some people watched and enjoyed the show. Fast forward through a bunch of people getting banned, and now the front page is always marked by a pony thread. Whenever something is big on /b/, the rest of the internet embraces the new fad a few months later. And that, gentlemen, is why several male, age 20+ members of your forum have magical ponies from a television show meant for young girls as their avatars.

Nothing in the above post was accurate. Not a single word.

Well it's partially accurate, what happened on is responsible for the show getting any publicity at all, though I would argue that its not being embraced because it was a fad on /b/ so much as its an entertaining show to watch with a pretty cool fan community.

Actually no, before Something Awful and 4-chan picked up on it as a huge fad, it had a well-sized fanbase among Lauren Faust fans (since she was the writers for a lot of the good 90s Cartoon Network shows). The notion that nobody would've cared about it if it weren't for some /b/ troll is 100% false.

Well I should of said /co/ not be, but I was unaware of the following before it started on /co/. All the recounts I've read said it began there the night the first episode aired when a bunch of people watched it for kicks and giggles and they enjoyed it and it spread from there.

Ah oh well.

Actually no, before Something Awful and 4-chan picked up on it as a huge fad, it had a minuscule fanbase among Lauren Faust fans (since she was the writers for a lot of the good 90s Cartoon Network shows). The notion that nobody would've cared about it if it weren't for some /b/ troll is mostly true.
Fix'd

Wait a second, Foster's and Powerpuff Girls were in the 00's.

My mistake. Same generation though.
