My Units_32 file with 51 unit icons added to it.

thanks Moon, but...erm...isn't the updated file exactly the same as the old one?

No... ;)

But looking at the download number I guess you downloaded the file by kittenOFchaos who started this thread and made a great unit32-file. I was referring to my own unit32-file (6th post in this thread). I have no intention and I am not able to change kittenOFchaos's great file.

I was referring to kittenOFchaos's comment on the color-correction problem, not on the usefulness of unit32-pics in general.

Nope, d/l it from your updated post. Downloaded it again, just in case but it is the same file as before. Is it just me, or can anyne else confirm this?

OK.
I remember that this was a problem somewhere else (in another thread, I think one of DS’s) a while ago…
lets see if we can find it...

Moon...

It isn't vital...but with many of your units the unit icon will look the same for every civilisation.

If you use the correct palette as JimmyH explained then each unit icon will have marking according to the civilisation colour e.g red for Rome, Blue for Germany etc.

Thanks Kitten. I don't really like to mess around with this stuff myself.

@kittenOFchaos

Ahhh, yeah right, I was absolutely on the wrong track, excuse my silly question. I should keep in mind to think first, sorry.

@zulu9812

Where was that again….
I could not locate it, all this great stuff in here starts to need an index (or my brain). :crazyeye:

I’m not sure, but if I remember correctly it had something to do with one or the other program on your (the downloading) computer doing this for efficiency when downloading something again (with the same name, from the same source).
I can’t quit remember what the solution was (damn brain), but try deleting or renaming the old file first (that’s at least what I would try).
Sorry for being no real help here, never had that problem myself, but I can assure you that there is a newer file attached.

Can somebody help us out here… ???

PS: If nothing else helps I can always email you the file (as a quick solution).

I think you're probably right - I just tried it again and it d/l 153 kb in 1 second (!) even after deleting all your previous versions, deleting the contents of the Temp folder and then emptying the recycle bin. So, thanks for all your work, and it'd be great if you could email it to me at this address

Version 3 up...
latest additions: pics found in Kryten's unit32 file which came with his Pirate Galley.

@ zulu9812
Do you need/want a email-version again?

Cheers Moon and kittenOFchaos :)

You know, I really should be using your units_32.pcx file with each new unit. I'll change the Pirate Galley to included it tomorrow (even old Kryten needs his beauty sleep ;) ).

There are many people out there that don't have PaintShop (making it hard for them to cut 'n paste their own units_32), so this is a very valuable resource for them, as well as another way of advertising all the new units currently available.

I wonder if this should be a new constantly updated 'sticky' thread, or maybe added to Lab Monkey's library thread.
Anyway, keep up the good work :goodjob:

yes, it should be updated regularly.

btw - Moon, it's ok. I deleted my internet history files and it's working fine now, thanks.

I wonder if I might make a request for additions (these are all for units already made):

camouflaged Tiger 1
T-55
ISU 152 Tank-Killer
IS2 Heavy Tank
Carden-Lloyd
Mobile Infantry
Naval Mine
Flak Halftrack
Spitfire
Mustang

Thanks in advance. Whenever I try it, the images just come out blurry.

See U have included the Dreadnought (in additon to TVA22's Battle Waggon) in your units_32 - is it a completed unit now? If so where can I find it?

Thanx

I’m not quite sure to what pic you are referring?!

The dreadnought in my game is the battlewagon …
But, there is a unit called Ironram (I use it as a Ironclad without bombard ability).
Maybe you are referring to the pic of the so called Iron Frigate? I use it as a oceangoing Ironclad (as mine are not), the problem with this unit is that the author has not completed it so far (and if I understand correctly is not planning to). So far there is only the default.flc, so you probably won’t find it in the unit library.
