N.B. This is base on Damon's file, but I took out some duplicates, added these icons, removed those nasty shadows, and made more icons civ-specific. I will continue to update this file. Just unzip to your Civilization III\Art|units directory. If there any problems, or I've missed any icons, post here. Have fun!
 
As you can see, I took out the DyP section - the icons are all in there somewhere, but there's not really any point to having them grouped together since you'll still have to change the icons in the editor. I also took out the civ2 icons. Does anyone want either of these sections put back in?
 
Civ 2 icons

I actually use those. Even though the units arent animated, they are still units.

I would only get rid of repeat units myself.

Civ2 icons

Also started a new numbering system. I figured I didn't really want to keep going up to version 46 or whatever, so this is a fresh start - 1.0. The next version will be 1.1, the one after that 1.2, and so on. Besides, there was a dot after the 'v' in previous zips so I can just say that was 0.9, so there :p

Icons for all mech units, as well as all futuristic units by Level and NeOmega are there. If you can't find them, open up the file in MS Paint since that allows you to view the whole thing without scrolling down or sideways.

Erm...there's no point in d/l this if you don't use any custom units ;)

I made some of my own images for the newest units, but yours are better. :p ;)

I cant seem to resize them from the flics very well, yet. How do you do it?
 
I use FLICSter to extract the default flc to it's component pcx file (the large one). I then use Paint Shop Pro to select one figure (not the whole frame, otherwise it'll be too small), paste as a new image and resize so that the longest side is 32 pixels, and then I paste it as a new selection into the big units_32 file.
 
Someone over at Poly has been having trouble with this file. The game crashes the first time he views the build queue. I'm almost certain that it's because he's not added a unit properly, but I offere to test out the icons he was using -

Let's see...

I used the Modern Infantry icon at 233.

I added 3 aircraft icons (from the F-14 & F-18 units at CFC) from 242-244.

I used the Jet Bomber icon at 412, the Attack Chopper icon at 418, the B-1b icon at 419, and the A-Bomb icon at 506.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time. I'd be very grateful if someone else could test them out. Thanks.
 
Zulu: Are all the unit images in the DEFAULT units_32 still the first ones in your file? If not, then if you use this file on a mod, you have to go through every unit already in the game and change the icon number That might be causing problems, but I am not sure. I would make sure that all the icons in the default come FIRST in the file, in the same order, so that adding one unit does not cause a person to change all the others' icon numbers.
