It's too bad you vetoed Loki. I knew an orange tabby named Loki, and he was definitely a mischievous cat. He was very handsome and dignified most of the time, but had his moments of asserting himself.

Are you sure that "Rembo" won't somehow morph into "Rambo"?

If you want to make this about the kitty's fur color, then Shadow, Sooty, Smoky... Other possibilities might be Spooky or Boo.

There's a black cat in the comic strip "Heart of the City" named Spock.

Really, it's too bad you can't wait a week or so, until the kitten's personality suggests a suitable name. Or maybe a nickname will morph into a formal name.

But whatever you call him, he's adorable, and I AM SO JEALOUS! I really want another kitten, but can't have one 'cause 3 cats aren't in my lease...

My vote was for Loki or Smokie. but Rembo was about the only name we both agreed on. And since Rembo is a rather well-known character in dutchland not much chance of morphing.

Spock is good as well. But then again, I like it because of nerdish reasons ... the girlfriend, not so nerdish.

And he'll have his passport made tonight at the vet's so then we can't change anymore officially, but unofficially ....
