Native America Mod

Wonders for the game. Since Sword_of_Geddon suggested them. :) The Temple of Tikal (We Gotta have a better name or make it strictly Mayan flavor) was a Tower of Babel like. More a joke of it's heights. And the Ghost Dance is desperacy for ideas at it's most. :D

I knew how to upload the picture.. I just didn't know how to get the image from the editor to .jpg format.. via alt-prtscrn.. I did it and I'm ready for the Irish Civil War preview.

PrntScrn, then open up any Paint program (Jasc?) and paste. Then save it.

Thank you. So, it's Mobilize's turn.

@Mobilize, DL the the latest. biq, import the world map (not just native america) and add the locations. :)

Bugs and things I forgot to do:

I am really sorry about this guys, but it seems I had underlooked a few things.

1. Atl-Atl ini file should be renamed, Atl-Atl.ini
2. Guard ini should be renamed NativeGuard.ini, and its name should be changed in the Biq file using the editor as well(Make sure and update the pediacons and civilepedia docs as well!!!)

3. Mayan Slinger should require "Warrior Code"
4. Finally, Javelin Thrower should upgrade to Boomstickman, not Native Shooter.
5. Only the Azteks, Mayans, Incans, Tupis, Anazi, Mohicans, Cherokee, Sioux, Iroquios, and Arawn have unit lists(Which means that the other civs don't build ANYTHING!), as for some reason or another I couldn't select anyone else in the unit editor
6. The number of opponents should be turned back up to 17
7. Also, the problems fixed in the Inuit patch are not fixed in this version. And the Inuit are not in this version either.

I apologize for forgetting these things.

.........................................................................................................

Oh, Unexisted and RF, I've been alittle busy? Hows things?

PS. Have you downloaded and tried the new version yet Unexisted? I guarantee that you'll be blown away by the amount of new content I added.

Ok, as long as Thunderfall lets me, I can do it. But It will be a very small patch, with just the updated ini and Biq files.

a third temporary(until you combine the 3.0, 3.1 and Inuit patches) link for the new 3.1 patch is needed as well.

Can you do me a favor Unexisted and let Thunderfall know?

Nevermind Unexisted, the new patch has been uploaded and a new link for it lies on the first page!

Installation Instructions:

Before installion patch 3.1, delete the foldier "Boomstickman" inside the units foldier. The new patch contains an updated version of the unit which better suits its Civilipedia picture.

Other things the 3.1 patch fixes:

1. Atl-Atl and Guard problems fixed

2. The Civilipedia and Pediaicons text files have also been updated.

Now all we have to do is wait for either of my two comrades, Unexisted, or RF, to merge the 3.1, 3.0 and Inuit patches toghether into one complete, bug-free version....

I downloaded the most recent version, and starting to enjoy this mod a lot. But could you please fix the advisor text in the Science section. It still will list "wheel" when you are talking about a unrelated technlogy. Other then that, it great. :D

I'll do the merging :)

Then after my refinement, Mobilize get's his shot at location (I've said that a million times, right? :p )

Looks like you've put in a lot of work to the mod, Sword_Of_Geddon :) , thanks a lot :goodjob: !!

I'm downloading it now, but as I've mentioned before, I have a 56k modem, so it could take about an hour or two :( .

I plan to make a new 3.1 patch this morning, that will include the following:
-Sword_Of_Geddon's 3.1 patch stuff
-Inuit patch
-Things Sword_Of_Geddon mentioned needed fixing but he didn't know how
-Science advisor mentioning the wheel (Thanks, Rirse, I'd noticed that as well)
-Civilopedia entries for tribes I've got entries for if Sword_Of_Geddon hasn't done it already
-If I can work out how to import the world map, I will

I'll do this all today and post the pathway for the new 3.1 update - maybe Unexisted can then update his first post to link to this new 3.1 patch instead of the old one :) .

WHoa, whoa whoa, Hold on R8XFT, it's my turn! :D

I'll be updating the .biq and so forth. But you can definetly update some texts, zip them up and upload them here. Then I can add them in my patch. But don't modify any .biq :)

NO!! DON"T START WORKING YET!!

I'm new at this, so please don't get mad at me:

The 3.1 patch is faulty.

I playtested it, and realized the errors with 3.0 were far more than I thought.

So I'm finishing up a larger(than 3.1 at least) 3.2 patch that will fix all the problems with 3.0 as well as add one new unit:

The Iroquios Medicine Man, which will replace Shamans for the Iroquios.

The new unit is my way of saying sorry for all the patch confusion and trouble its caused everyone.

Just to clarify, Sword_Of_Geddon, anyone who gets mad at you is an out-and-out loser! No-one's going to get upset over teething problems. You're new to modding and it's all part of the learning process.

So don't beat yourself up :) .

Unexisted - I get the message. I'll leave the biq well alone ;) . It means less work for me anyway :p . I'll have a look at the civilopedia and if there's anything I can add, I will :goodjob: .

Whoa, if Sword_of_Geddon has some small errors, maybe you should clear them up. Then give me the .biq :D ;)

Seriously,

Ok - I'll be working on it from now, as I've downloaded everything :) .

Your kind RF, thankyou. I was just worried that Unexisted was going to say: "Your "help" has caused more problems for this mod than it has added, therefore, you are off the mod team! Do not pass go! Do not collect 200$!"

Heres the problem guys:

When I was adding units, I thought I should rename all the unit files inside that particular unit's foldier, for example:

When I put the Inti Champion foldier in, I went into it and renamed all the files inside "Inti Champion" and It was alot of other units that I did this to as well. As a result, when one of the unit files is required(Like when the computer builds a Atl-Atl spearman) and it looks for the corrasponding animation file, it doesn't find it, Because I renamed it!(Smacks oneself aside the head for amataur stupidity)

Also, the Ini files don't match the unit names exactly(Inti_Warrior.ini instead of Inti Warrior.ini). And this causes the game to exit as well.

I have created a new patch to fix all this, but its 27.6 mbs, and it will take me ALONG time to upload it.

I could also post the names of the units I used, and their required files, and you could rename the files yourself, without me taking 4+ hours to upload another patch.

Its your call guys, and I'm with you either way.
