monticone, this is the first time I see a bat-file introduced to Civ 3. I reflected about such a solution for changing the normal summer terrain to winter terrain for the scenario SOE.
Unfortunately, when looking to the Civ 2 forums (where bat-files are used frequently), it seems they don´t work with 64-bit systems. Do you have a solution for 64-bit systems?
monticone, thank you for your quick answer. You saw "Choice" before I deleted it in my post above as I also don´t know if it works in combination with Civ 3. May be I have to ask Catfish in the Civ2 forums about bat-files and 64-bit systems.
What do you think about changing terrain files with bat-files in 32-bit systems?
* the command REPLACE DOES NOT prompt any confirmation request, then be sure to work with backupped files !
* you have to launch a .bat file BEFORE open game
( maybe , when you change view to science research or trade advisor, but is idea that need some test... depending how works a double buffer in game, I do not know !)
