NBA 2010 Playoffs

Remember, a S&T could only happen to a team that can sign Lebron outright (Bulls, Knicks, Nets, Heat, Clippers). Otherwise, there is no incentive for Cleveland to deal.
But that is what Dampire is for, he gives Dallas the ability to make a S&T.
I'm not saying it will happen but that it can.
This is where I'm getting it. It is a very good site that knows what they are talking about.

Who cares about someone who is not playing right now? WE can deal with that latter. Anyway I was surprised that Orlando lost, but it could be the loss they had to have.
Magic will win the next game.

Yeah, I know all about that. I'm not saying that Dallas lacks the capacity to do a sign and trade with D's contract, I'm saying that Cleveland isn't going to bite on it. Cap Space isn't as important for a team that isn't a major free agent destination, and the rest of Dallas' "sweeteners" aren't attractive to Cleveland (i.e they already have a shoot first point guard who doesn't play defense, so they aren't going to be that thrilled about Rodrique)

I would expect Dallas to be active in the trade market, but I think the best they're going to be able to get is a 2nd tier free agent guy...maybe somebody like Rudy Gay (who would inject some badly needed youth and athleticism in that lineup).

Now, as far as the teams still playing....

I think Abbot is right about the Lakers. A team with strong interior defense can easily beat them...but nobody in the league is going to outscore them. Phoenix is a great basketball team (I think they might be able to beat both Orlando and Boston), but they're a bad matchup with the Lakeshow

I hope that this isn't too far off topic, but has anyone seen the Hanes commercial with Michael Jordan with a Hitler mustache. They did show the commercial during the games.
:hmm: Well if there is anyone who can try and pull off the Hitler mustache it's probably Air Jordan; or should I say Herr Jordan.

aaaand the Magic thought Vince Carter was clutch. What a stupid ending.

I still hate the Celtics. The Magic are just contemptible.

Ya, i really can't believe he missed them both.
Hack-a-Howard almost came back to bite the C's when Perk fouled out, lots of whistles tonight all over.

I can believe he missed them both, because he's Vince Friggin' Carter.

And somewhere, Canada laughs.

[12:51] <@Dachs> kraz
[12:51] <@Dachs> do the bulls have enough cap space for wade AND bron
[12:51] <@Dachs> it's probably a dumb idea from a chemistry standpoint
[12:51] <@Dachs> but it'd be useful to know
[12:52] <@Dachs> I kinda want wade on the bulls and bron on knicks/cavs cause I like wade better than bron and bulls better than cavs or knicks :p
[12:52] <@Kraznaya> Um, I don't think so
[12:52] <@Kraznaya> They would have to trade Luol Deng and :):):):) to make it work
[12:52] <@Kraznaya> so some big S&T action
[12:52] <@Dachs> make both of them work or just one of them
[12:53] <@Kraznaya> Anyway, I don't think Wade wants to go to the same town as Lebron
[12:53] <@Kraznaya> I want Lebron to go to the knicks because that would be the most choketastic team ever
[12:53] <@Kraznaya> can you imagine d'antoni and lebron
[12:53] <@Kraznaya> they would win 60 games a year and average 115 points
[12:53] <@Kraznaya> and lose in the second round ever year
[12:53] <%Thlayli> at least it would give the people hope :/
[12:54] <@Dachs> giving new yorkers false hope is the best idea ever
[12:54] <@Kraznaya> yeah and I would laugh at all the knivks fan who thought they had a chance
[12:54] * Thlayli does not think he has a chance
[12:55] <%Thlayli> but I know the knicks will do will RIGHT up until I do
[12:55] <%Thlayli> well*
[12:55] <@Kraznaya> Anyway realistically the knicks will end up with joe johnson and be a borderline playoff contender
[12:55] <@Kraznaya> paying joe johnson a max contract
[12:56] <@Dachs> you think lebron will stay in cleveland?
[12:57] <@Kraznaya> I think it's between Cleveland and Chicago
[12:57] <@Kraznaya> Nets and Knicks are the outside shots
[12:57] <@Kraznaya> Miami is the x factor if wade decides that he's okay with playing with lebron (i say no)

Does anyone know if me talking out of my ass about Chicago's cap situation is true?

The Bulls only have room for ONE Max Contract currently. If they are able to trade Captain Kirk and Deng, they could possibly have room for two.

I haven't watched basketball in years (only watched it regularly when the Grizzlies were in Vancouver) but with the Canucks out of the NHL playoffs, I've hopped on the Steve Nash Suns bandwagon. I'd love to see Nash finally win the championship.

So would I. I was hoping this series would go the distance and it looks lke things might not be going all LA's way as they did in the first two games. But it does seem that home court is going to be the deciding fact in this series. I hope that Orlando make more of a showing against Boston and take it to the distance also. Orlando have not really showed up just yet.

For today, at least, I am happy. I'll be much less happy when Amare pulls an Amare once he's not on his homecourt.

It would be great to see Nash win the championship. I think he is the only MVP to not go to the finals. With the way the Suns have been playing, it doesn't seem impossible.

I would like to see steve nash win a championship but not with my team the lakers in the conference finals. KB24.
