@Bil I just remembered, you wanted to invent the banjo this update. The banjo is a little bit too far from being invented (It was invented in the late 1800's if I remember correctly ). Thus I had the Tralavians invent the lute. Is that okay with you?

Also: Kentharu, the stats will be up today hopefully, as I had said in the post right before yours. Perhaps you should read more carefully? Anyways, a culture map is unlikely. The culture stat in the stats should give you a good idea of the cultural make up of a country.

Climate map will be posted either today or tommorow.

Yeah, I will be too. Perhaps a more realistic deadline would be tommorow night, or maybe I should just say some vauge deadline that has no real substance so I can procrastinate as long as I want

I doubt stats will be up tonight, although I will try my darnedest to get a lot of them done.

The modern concept of the instrument was mid-1800's, but the near ancestors to it were documented at least two centuries before (if not earlier; that was only the time period of documentation by Europeans). Obviously, even the 1600's is still too early compared to this time period, but the concept of the instrument is fairly simple enough that it could have been invented earlier. While I don't mind the lute at all (and it is, in fact, a much more logical first step toward the banjo), I will be pressing the development of the banjo as, hopefully, one of the most significant cultural contributions the Tralavians make to the world! Really, though, some of my nation's efforts will be going into cultural research (or something to that effect) on a regular basis. Whenever we get that banjo, you'll never be rid of the wrasslin' mountain men of the north and their incessant plucking and strumming echoing through the mountain ranges. Invaders beware!

I can say this though, during the huge chaotic Ik-Sheol wars, some of the Jorisi took advantage of the situation and colonized the northeastern coast. Eventually the colonies broke off. Recently they got unified by an ambitious king, who still has a good few years ahead of him.

Don't worry, I'm not going to give up. Progress is just a tad slow I'll work faster.

Edit: 23 out of like 50 some countries done by the way

Stats and updated climate map on the front page. Please notify me of any errors you see. I'm sure I made plenty, as I didn't really read over the stats too much. Please, please tell me if there are mistakes. I want to fix whatever I can.


Also, feel free to pick your countries I guess Orders are due October 9. That should give you plenty of time to pick countries, have diplomacy, and send orders.

also, feel free to decomission troops and ships if you don't want them. I just have the amount I think a country would have so it wouldn't get overrun easily, although there are some specific countries that I would advise on maintaining high troop levels (I'm looking at you Onysabr countries with tons of slaves )
