NES Civ3 multiplayer

I actually do have EU II, and 3. If it's a Paradox succession game, then I'm up for it.

Have you tried the 'AGCEEP' mod? That's my favourite version of EUII grand campaign, although it did seem a little buggy with leaders and such at the start of the game.

I have it, but I'm out of practice and the only time I've played it through from start to end was in vanilla as Aragon, which became Spain, which became some wierd New World Mexican Empire after moving my capital when super-France trounced me outta northern Spain. I didn't have any long-running AGCEEP game going, though.

If enough people have EU3, I recommend we play any succession game in it. It's a lot more unpredictable than EU2, and there're a lot more options as a player.

I dont have EU III personally. I got the impression it was a flashier, dumbed-down version of the game that was never going to get the same amount of support from the modders etc. But I haven't kept up to date with it, and I guess my new PC could actually run it quite well.

It'd stand on its own without the graphics. I actually think they're kind of cheesy, and ruin the usual 2D Paradox atmosphere, but I appear to have survived. I can't see myself going back to EU2, especially once I get around to grabbing the In Nomine expansion.

EDIT: As for modding, a quick look found this, which seems to indicate that there's modding being done. There are mods for A Song of Ice and Fire, and Years of Rice and Salt, too, though I'm unsure how far along they are.

Magna Mundi is also something I have, and I admit to confusing it with AGCEEP, in the above post.

Would anyone like me to start the Civ4 Vanilla PitBoss Game?

If so, what settings do we want?

I vote Continents Map, Quick Speed. I'm not familiar with all of the options, as I've never played Vanilla Online.

no barbs aswell. I hate barbs, and in Vanilla civ there's no Great Wall to spoil if they are not included.

I like barbs, they force you to build an army early on. I think they're an important gameplay element.

I didn't get the point of your post, Jason The King. What do you mean?

He doesn't like quick because forces go obsolete so quickly. We could play a longer style of game (normal?), but it would take much longer.

When you play quick speed, as soon as you build an army and start a war, you have to upgrade it or build a new one because techs are researched so fast, and a new unit is available. I prefer epic speed, where you can have almost an entire war without worrying about upgrading or having a new unit available. Basically you can fight an entire war in just one era.

Yeah, but keep in mind that this is a pitboss (or maybe even PBEM) game, so it will take quite a while.

What? No one wants to play an internet game?

Wanna do a quick brawl over the net Iggy? :p I can play for some hours. Saving is possible on the internet, right?

BtS or Vanilla? Multiplayer is much more fun with more than two people. I think we should have at least five.

I just felt like playing a quick duel, but I agree :)

I don't have time for it anymore tonight. Alas, there is possibilities for a game opening tomorrow :)

BtS or Vanilla, meh. I don't really care, as I have all three of the versions :) Perhaps someone should attemp to energize a game tomorrow.

Just bought and istalled EU Rome if anyone is interested in playing...

I am driving back to Salt Lake tomorrow, for some meetings with my driver manager, if I remember to grab the Civ4 game from the truck I will join. :D
