NES Risk Game

Good because that was a damn **** start

Supposing we started over, and I run it, which it looks like will happen, do you want to try territory grab?

Basically, order the territories of the map in order of which you would prefer to gain first.

eg.
1. Western Australia
2. Siam
3. Eastern Australia

etc.

sweet. i think same time will be way easier to play/understand. that is once someone explains exactly how it works.

every army moves just one territory? no going on for endless attacks till armies run out?
that's way more like an NES anyway.
how do armies cross paths? ie if i send armies from western US to Eastern US and jason sends armies from eastern to western, do the attacking armies fight in the middle or reach their destinations and fight the left over defences?

how does the "same timeness" work? basicaly

It is much easier to play, and much better to strategize.

Yes, but you also get 1 "Surge Attack" a turn, where you can move attack from a territory you captured (you still have to plan it ahead of time)

Yeah, it is.

They fight in the middle, and the one that wins goes on to attack the remaining garrison of their target.

You basically send orders at the same time, and they are carried out at the same time. They do border clashes first, which are the ones where you meet in the middle, then mass invasions, which is where you attack from multiple territories into one, then invasions, the normal type, and then spoils of war, which is when two armies of different sides attack the same territory.

cool. thanks NK. makes perfect sense.
now then, all we need is the game to get (re)started and we're all set.

I'm up for it just tell me what I have to do.

ok, here's what you do.
if there are my armies west of you, attack the territory to the east with all your forces.
if there are my armies north of you, attack the territory to the south with all your forces.
......
you get the general idea i think. dont worry, you can trust me, i'll make quick work of your terri....um...enemies, ye, that's it.

Sure, Jason. This the same Classic game posted earlier, or are you switching to a same time, or what?

ok, so when we starting it already. i just bought the risk2 game on amazon. 55 cents for the game 3.50 for shipping. lol.

here we go. Hurry up, MjM, and send orders cus the game has to remain open in my browser. You can deploy all your armies at once now, but here is the catch:

You can only put one army per province, plus an army for the amount of provinces you own surrounding it. So if you wanted to place an army in Madagascar, you can only place one army, plus one more because you own East Africa.

that is the one stupid rule they made for same time. makes it harder tho.

EDIT: forgot the map, d'oh

what the.... so since none of my territories are next to eachother i can only place 6 armies?

edit. check it out in the game to make sure. it cant be true. that would mean that blue for example can place 14 armeis (2+3+3+2 in west africa, 2+2 in south asia) while i can only place 6 (1 in each of mine)

Cui got about the sweetest start I've ever seen, shes already won the game ;)

well, i tried using a crack on my other computer to play with out the disk, and i got so far as to being able to place reinforcements unrestrictingly in all of my provinces on a same time hot seat game.

i did not get far enough as to see if the restrictive deplomyment applies during regular reinforcements. hwoever, we can start the game now, and just see where it takes us. i would probably guess that there is restrictive deployment when you are placing regular reinforcements.

i like cuivienen's start too, but i dont think just the starting territories are enough to say "won the game already".

An alliance could easily wipe her out.

right, everyone can send their deployments to me now, since no one gets to see where the other puts his/her's.
