NES Risk Game

I think it would get a little bit ridiculous to have more than six players. The one player who manages to conquer South America or Australia is instantly guaranteed victory.

Nope!

I will play this game.

My experience with Risk has been that you should never sign alliances. If that happens - game goes on forever. Knowing NESers I think this will go on for ages :D...

Good! tententen

so, when's the start then. and having not played this game in a while what color am i?

Computer randomly drew...and sheep, your up. Deploy your armies.

btw, hurry cus the game has to stay minimized on my computer until we get to the next turn where i can save.

WoW! Now I wish I was part of this. I thought you meant a BOARD board game...

what color is who? for some reason i remembered there being more provinces. think my mind has mixed our old board nes with risk. lol.

I gotta feeling Sheep is gone. thats the trouble with having players from different countires (or even different time zones in our own country)

oh, never mind i see it now. on the bottom of the screen we're all listed in barely visible black on dark brown text. lol.

Lol yeah so you are yellow :)
oh and the territories are allright I checked the game just now.

one army at a time around the board, that's like 98 armies to place, and 98 times to wait for the "next" player to show up.
this initial setup is gonna take ages. maybe we should try to order the placement in bulk, atleast the first few to be sure. so here's my first 6 rounds of unit placement:
i'll start with atleast 1 more army in each of my 6 territores.

and battles wont be much better. (unless we issue blanket orders of "always defend with max possible armies")

this is either going to be a prety slow game that will take ages (not that i have much against that) or we'll have to cut some corners.

I think we should just say "always defend with max armies" - that's simpler. As for where we place our armies - let's all PM Jason which ones will go where rather than doing them one at a time.

i have no clue what risk 2 is, hope the general rules are teh same.
"same time risk" ? what is that, sounds intriguing.

Risk 2 = computerized risk

Same time = Making all moves at the same time, you have to second guess other's moves, a lot more strategy, and none of those silly 1 huge army conquering the world sprees.
