Egypt's leader overthrown!
In a mousilinni-esq way the inner council of theocratic leaders has overthrown the fascist leader of Egypt. Seeing that the leader had gone mad after his random invasion of Libya and refusing to pull out even with threats coming from Arabia. the inner council unanimously voted to oust him, and now have installed a true theocracy in Egypt

to libya
We sincerely apologize for the madness of our fascist leader, we have reverted to a theocratic form of government and ask to normalize our relations to pre-war status

dear players. do you even read the posts when das says "please no more government changes!"

i think this is pretty cowardlike. you make **** - you realize it too late - instead of trying to solve the conflict somehow differently you say "former king/dictator/president/commrade was the bad boy! I´m now a facist7/democrat/communist/monarch/anarchist!

This is unrealistic and laame.

I fully agree.

Perhaps a rule like cutting a nations economy and military by half everytime theres a govt change would make sure such would not happen unless completely necessary.

I already showed you how I punish government changes - with loyalist rebellions. Korea and Egypt may (or may not if I am in a very, very, very good mood when updating) also encounter such... difficulties.

OOC: I'm sorry if I've caused more work for you, Das.

I just didn't think that Fascism got anywhere with the Korean people. We were like Spain's Franco. We were sitting ducks. Fascism's fine if you're attacking another country and you need absolute power and control over your people.

I hope you're in a good mood when you update, but by juding your emphasis on 'very, very, very' it seems like it would take alot for that to happen.

To Fascist and Communists parties:

If there are any violent rebellions, I assure you that every Fascist and Communist member in Korea will not live to see the next day.

Collective punishment will be our policy towards your parties.

The shogun had for a while been at peace as Japan had been shut off with the outside world. However, as rumors of weapons of huge destructive power came filtering in, a new man came to the shogun's side. Takeshi Yamatashi was the son of one of the last of the now nonexistant samurai. At an early age he had made his way around Japan, making a living. His superior intellect got him noticed at the University of Nagasaki, where he quickly rose to the top of his class. He entered politics almost immediately after school, and was eventually appointed mayor of Nagasaki, where he strongly advocated breaking the isolation. His views almost landed him in prison, but the new reforms enacted by the Shogun saved him. Now, after many years of hard work, he was close in the Shogun's circle. It was now time to exert the influence he had, and open up Japan once again.

It had been a long and arduous process, but Yamatashi had won it over. The Shogun had authorized the signing of a mutual protection agreement with China, that would help protect Japan as it exited isolation again. Also, the Shogun started modernizing the Japanese Imperial Army and Navy.

We are exiting isolation, and we wish to follow up on the MPP you proposed.

ORDERS:
Increase army and navy
Begin regaining ground in army and military tactics and equipment that we lost over the past few years in isolation. Also keep to Japan's strict martial tradition and try to make the Japanese army some of the best-trained troops
Reopen trade with the world.

To Japan
From China
Of course, we agree to the MPP we originally proposed to you. May our two nations prosper in friendship and in peace.

From: The Empire of Liberia
To: Azteca, Russia, Arabia, Brazil, and Libya

We are interested in acquiring a source of oil from one of you. What sort of prices do you have in mind?

OOC: Do not punish egypt for the government change, that was part of the peace treaty between Arabia and Egypt. I forced him to do it.

To: Liberia
From:Arabia
We will sell you oil, how about 2 eco for 5 turns.

Russia sells 6 turns of oil for 2 economic levels

OOC: I agree with stalin.

Conehead234, in that case it would not be for punishment but for realism. For one thing, people don't like it when other people change their governments. It'd now be also the nationalists rebelling as well as loyalists.
