NES2 II: Age of Discovery

To Sinhala
From Juang

Then don't support Tokugawa. Simple.

OOC: I could be stepping out of line here but I can't resist... :D Apologies up front.

THe courtier to the Juong Court tried to catch the emperor's attention,
"Psst.. Your Majesty, I think Sinhala was sarcastic about it.."

OOC: The courtier was promptly executed.

IC: The courtier was promptly executed.

lol fantasmo :D

Oh, but I AM getting the right impression.. *nudge nudge wink wink*

p/S: Better update soon before this goes out of hand.. :p :D

We come to you with an important request. As you know the Berbers in Varidrung have revolted against the Kings. We ask you to talk to becalm since we don't want to be forced to make a military campaign there. The Varidrung islands are -as you kow- from extreme importance to the Visgothian expeditions to Atlantis. If we don't want to fall behind in the colonisation of the new world we have to restore order as fast as possible!

Internal problems might force us to make cuts to our crusader fleet. However we WILL attack this turn. We suggest that we gather our fleets near the Balearic Islands, resupply and then engage the berber fleet. After the successfull battle we will land our troops at the predesigned spots. Everybody lands, where he will get land after the war. ok?

*secret*

OOC: Is the Pope an economic power? Would he send me some money to fight the evil pagans all over the world?

*secret*
Severoslavia does not get any land from this crusade, but we will be there and support Lombardians. Count on us.
*endsecret*

*secret*
The Alexandrine Empire will be there to help defeat the Berbers

OCC: Is the update today?

some other japanese emperor said:
snippy, accustaion of me buying off the people
"Buy" indeed. I impose taxes and you complain that I keep all the money. I spend it on the people and you complain that I'm buying them off. I do nothing and you try to usurp my emperorship. Now give me a better solution.

Forgive our trespass, but the long distances involved make it more sensible for us to land in your allotted territory, and fight our way to ours. We assure you that our prior agreed-upon boundaries are still in place.

OOC:

Hope on, Capulet. I mean, Contempt. And don't forget to blame all the people who send thousands of expeditions in every imaginable directions, and mad rulers who start rather irrational invasions. They confuse me greatly.

And Capulet, there are two emperors trying to outemperor each other and a rebel leader who wants to outrebelleader both emperors at the time. At least that's how I see it. The version that might interest more popular in Sinhala is that there are two so-called emperors trying out-so-called-emperor the rebel leader, who doesn't give a damn because he's trying out-real-emperor them, while they try out-emperor each other, somehow. And no, I don't understand just what does that say about the nature of the Japanese Civil War.

Yes, we remember the reason. The collapse of central authority due to the Itzhakist War and the loss of Antioch. A dark age fell upon us until the Byzantine people decided to take the first steps to restoring their unity - the creation of the Byzantine League. Now, we need to make the final step.

From: Tariq
To: Siegfrid of Visgothia

What exactly is required of me? To convince the leaders of the rebellion that they should reconcile? If so, then their leaders seem to request autonomy, freedom of worship within the islands and promise of state's protection of them if attacked by overzealous crusaders or other citizens of your Kingdom.
