NES2 II: Age of Discovery

Das, according to my folder I did send you my orders :(

Also, I just sent you another PM, pertaining to another matter.

Could you check to see if you really did get my previous orders?

To Maliam:
From Sinhala

It is settled then. But we think that it would be better to allow Muzaffar to go on and let him isolate himself in the Sinhalese-dominated islands.

Could I join as Scotia?

OOC-I don't need to write out the stats, right?

Three days out at sea. Three days of doing very much of nothing and Muzaffar had ample time to rethink everything. He mentally calculated his available force. Not much. Sure, he'd convinced a sizable portion of the Navy to join him. But not much in the way of soldiers, since they were mostly Siamese - and didn't like the idea of a Malay leading them. The settlers were few. Not much but probably enough to start a self-sufficient colony. He hoped. The exodus would be hard, even in the relatively mild seas of the Sunda Sea (OTL South China Sea).
Muzaffar's mind kept returning to the docks three days ago..

"Kekanda, have you really thought this through?"
"Adinda, this is the only way to save our people. Do you really want to stay here as refugees and be dregs of soceity for the rest of your life?"
"No. But the sea is a dangerous place. I've even heard that the island you intend to settle is not empty but colonised by the Sinhalese."
"Perhaps. It's a risk I'll have to take."
"I understand. Juang envoys tried to inform you that they'll support the Exodus. However, they went straight to the palace. Makhemaru executed them."
"I don't see how I can communicate with the Juangs. Not with such a tight timeline. I have to leave fast before the palace tries anything funny."
"Then, may Krishna be with you."
"Thank you, adinda. I have to set sail now. To catch the winds."
"Alright." he turned to leave but turned back again, "Oh, kekanda. One more thing. Makhemaru tried to tell the Sinhalese to annihilate your fleet. They refused to do so.."

All these years of fleeing the Sinhal occupiers. Now they showed him mercy? No, it can't be. But this news was from his own sworn brother. He could trust him. And he had only decided to stay behind in order to keep an eye on Maliam. How they were going to stay in contact was another question altogether. Yes. Muzzafar could trust that bit of information. Probably he shouldn't take such an anti-Sinhalese stance.
Maybe.
But first, to find a place where him and his people (he called them that now) could be free..

OCC: Send/Post your orders in some sort of a list, like how many eco to use on what and where to attack or colonize etc.

  1. Colonize *Insert a place to colonise here* with 5 ships and 5 battalions
  2. *Insert more orders of that type here*
  3. Some more orders if you whant etc.

And there you have a clear list of what you what to do, now that was not that that difficult now was it? ;)

Looks like we have a buch of newbies here now :D. Fresh blood never hurts!

@nonconformist: Welcome to the wonderfull world of nesing.

1. Did you read the first post? You will find the rules, the nations stats and some more stuff there.

2. about orders: Although you can write orders like this :

Orders:
-grow economy
-expand

It is encouraged to write a bit more. Like where you expand, with how many men. Even more important are your war time orders. If you don't write a good strategy, you might even loose a battle against a outclassed enemy.

Tip1: Use maps! They will make it easier for the mod to understand your orders.

Tip2: If you don't want the enemy to read yoru secret battleplan, pm it to
das!

Tip3: Maybe you will understand it better if you look at the orders of the other players.

Do you dare oppose the mighty Inca? Do you not see that it is YOUR army that has been defeated, and that Mervara is Incan once more?

Dead men tell no tales, and your dead have more names than mine. Can your people take the strain of the death my warriors bring? We will see, this will be determined upon the field of battle. Are you ready to face the skill of our warriors?

OCC: Orders sent.

To: Trebzond
From: Cretan Republic

Calm yourself, brother. We are both true Christian Nations. Some of my advisors were concerned with your apparent ambitions, that is all. This can all be settled in a way that is fit for allies, not enemies.

To: Thrace
From: Cretan Republic

We suggest a more councilliatory tone towards the Baltians. These raiders may or may not have been sanctioned by Dunkelhiet, but antagonizing him will surely make him consider it. I suggest allowing their offer of workers, have them leave their arms on their ships, and keep a close eye on them. I will also send some troops to help.

From Baltia:
to Thrace:
We are not going to pay 2 economy levels, we did not sent those forces, and care less.
Our offer was more as a sign for peace and future development for peaceful relations.

From Baltia:
to Crete:
We thank you for attempting to understand our points, since Thrace is refusing our aid, we are not going to help them nor send the horrendus sum of two economy levels.
We hope you understand why we are doing this, and assure you that we will make no offensive movements against Thrace unless they force us to.
We also hope for the developing of trade and peaceful relations w/ your nation.

To Thrace:
From Baltia:
Oh and by the way, the harbor just started to be built....... we are barely leveling the land...

KINGDOM OF BALTIA

It was a cold rainy day in the capital. Heinrich sat by his fireplace while playing chess w/ one of his friends, General Hans Ulrich Rudel. Rudel was almost as legendary as Heinrich, he held the most kills in battle, almost 700 heads in his lifetime. He and Heinrich had been friends since childhood and remained to be best friends to this day.
They talked about the recent diplomacy sent by Heinrich to Thrace. Rudel argued that it was a bad decision, that the people would not be happy. He claimed that protests and rebellions would arise because of such. But Heinrich replied very skillfully that he was not his father, that altough baltian brute strenght could win any battle, it was only diplomacy and intellegence that would win the war. He then said that he knew that the Thraceans would never accept his offer, and therefore it was merely a diplomatic face.
The game lasted for quite a long time, having an enjoyable talk about diplomacy and military strategy.
As the game came to an end, an aid arrived w/ a letter from Thrace telling of their refusal towards baltian help. Heinrich smiled and told hans 'checkmate'.

OOC: nonconformist - pretty much what the people say.

Odd, Capulet... Maybe I deleted them by accident or something... Remember to add all those things in your orders, okay?

RealGoober - and I guess that their expedition leader has a cellphone with which to contact his government at every step. I know. What MacOrvall says does not go for Scotian leadership, and his decisions are inconsequential unless he is allowed to carry on or unless he rebels.

But do you not see the many threats we face? Only by luck did we defeat the Persian expansionism, and since then, the Jews were threatening all of us. The Tarunist threat is even worse. Unless somethings DECISIVE is done, they will continue picking at us, and growing in strength. If the Byzantine Empire is an unified entity, with a large UNITED army and unified on the map, all the pesky foes of the true Christianity shall think many times before even DARING to try and strike at us again.

OCC: I'm proud of this story :p

A young man by the name of Sudene sat silently in the mud of his village. He morosely sat in the evening rain, as he watched the Incan warriors march self-importantly around the village. He glared at the conquers, thinking only of how he might gut their stomachs and offer them to the spirts of the Great Amazon.

He got up and ran away from the village when the Incans began to beat an inoccent passerby. Sudene ran away from the horrible sight of the Incan occupation, towards the all forgiving forest. The tears on his face merged with the rain, as it seemed the very heavens above cried for Vakuchi, for the loss of the Chosen people of the Forest. He ran away from the evils of the Incan Empire, and reached the forest. Sudene looked up from his head long rush, and saw something that chilled his blood. A dark figure in a cloak, hideing from the rain. "Anhanga[Devil]....." he murmured.

"Niether Devil or Spirt." the man replied. "I'm from the Vakuchi stronghold. I am a friend." Sudene smiled, hopefull that the forces of Vakuchi were on the move, and this was a scout.

"Friend, do the Inca have a base here?" the shouded figure asked.

"They do. They terrorise the people with their fire sticks, and all my people fear the death that they bring."

"Do not fear." the figure said. He motioned backwards to a pack behind him. In the pack was an Incan battle uniform, taken from a dead soldier. Sudene looked up toward the man, smiling happily. The resistance had started.

Hmm, I will PM my orders, story, etc. since it all has to deal with those bloody pesky European colonizers!

And I don't want them to read my briliantly brilliant strategy.

OOC: my stories and orders will come tomorrow.
