Japanese faction orders? Will do, sir! And with a story to boot!
The blossoms are pink
on all the trees where they grew
Will someone pick them?
-Haiku attributed to Sheguwata Henoken, born 1247. Written during the Time of Troubles, it reflects on Japan's status of this time- with the true imperial candidate gone, an upstart relative with a weak claim trying to seize the throne, and a rebel Shogun seizing power in Kyushu, every man was in the army and every woman kept it supplied. Cherry blossoms were surprisingly plentiful these years, but littered the ground where they fell.
Henoken was a supporter of the faction called the Hamematsu, but wrote impartially for the most part. But one day his house was caring for a Hamematsu soldier, and the very next day he became their new leader.
With the new haiku adorning every banner and engraved on every armor, the Hamematsu marched forth with a new strength. They were led by a true man of the people that everyone felt strongly with. Their emperor gone, the Hamematsu warriors had little hope of finding him and restoring him to the throne, but now there was a second goal: Henoken would establish the next dynasty. While not of imperial blood, he was a descendant of a noble's fifth cousin, and was very well suited indeed.
So now the Hamematsu marched forwards again.
The coins gleam dully
In a chest of cherry wood
They ought to be spent.
With an economy better or equal to any other faction, the Hamematsu spent thousands. Their ranks swelled as the mercenaries of the Edo left. Only time would tell if this sudden change would win them Japan.
Orders: Spend one economy level increasing Army x6. Charge the Edo and attempt to assimilate the Kyushu with our haiku.
