OOC: No hard feelings regarding the war, Iggy? It's purely an impersonal thing, you know. ;)

Oh and Storm, sorry about the paranoia. After das said someone betrayed my trust, I looked at my neighbors...and that remark to the Ottomans about you both fighting someone together...

In hindsight, I suppose that the Ottomans just sent half their army to the HRE or something.

The Swedish Battle Ship; Ragnarok

General Bodil Justus stood in front of the gathered military officers participating in Operation Green, his sharp eyes looking out at the youthful, and older officers who sat in the meeting hall upon the Ragnarok. He took a deep breath before adressing the men.

"On the marrow, this ship will set sail and this operation Green will occur as scheduled. There will be no delays, for war does not accept them. Do not be late as you wake up to the morning sun, for tommorrow battle will be upon us all, and we will not fail our fellow soldier by being weary eyed and slothful."

His harsh wake-up call, and warning to those few who slacked made the few soldiers who were slouching in their chairs immediatetly sit straight, and rub their eyes hurridly. He smiled slightly at the effect, before continuing on.

"And this is what this war is about, not failing our fellow soldier, and failing our fellow man. We do not fight for ourselves, no; we fight for the liberty of the opressed Germans, crushed underneath the heel of the mighty Sturmtruppen divisions of the Kaiser. I see by your grimaces that a few of you have fought these fighters before. I can understand why. They are powerful, extremely well trained and elite, discplined, and blindly loyal. A fearsome enemy to be sure.

Even with all their power through, they have not stopped our march. Our attack for freedom was so unexpected to these men so loyal to tyranny, that we have beat them back. We have no won yet, but we have already begun to win a victory for the hearts and minds of the German people. Men came to fight for us, for Swedish liberators, and did not go to fight for the Holy Roman Empire's own armies. Rebellions sprung up, and New Prussia, our new ally, was formed from these reliances on Swedish strength, and liberation!"

Cries of self-rightous nationalism filled the room, while others clapped and cheered heartily for the Swedish freedom fighting ideals, proven to be winning so far in the War for Germany. These officers were extremely proud of their country, and their happy morale would spill over to their troops the following day when battle came upon them, and their skills and hearts and minds were tested by the Sturmtruppen's cannons.

"Yet, even our fighting spirit, and the rightness of our cause is not enough for final victory. We must be smart, swift, and knowleadgable. We must know when to retreat, and when to fight. We must understand, by the Grace of God, that we are but mortal men fighting for a worthy cause. We are not supermen, nor are we able to defeat this enemy in a single battle. No, we are merely mortal heroes, liberating the opressed Germans, giving them liberty they so deserve. All we must do now, is pray for final victory, through our courage and persevance in this crusade for justice.

"Now, let us kneel in prayer, but do not bow your heads, so that you may look up at God and ask his blessing in what we are about to do."

The Tsardom of Muscovy declares war on the Kingdom of Sweden. We will avaenge the destruction of Novgorod and liberate the Finnish-Karelians from their oppresive rule and save the HRE. Goodbye.

To Muscovy
From Sweden

So be it, you have broken the NAP we signed for peace so quickly. You will reap the fruit of this descision with bitter tears come the harvest time...

OOC: Hmm, it's that time again...a new spam betting pool!

Who will win the Imperial War?

French or Polish intervention is rated at 1:2. If that happens, Prusso-Swedish victory is running at 3:4! But if not, it's at 1:3.

I'm not going to comment on Middle Eastern Affairs.

China's victory over Japan is a sure thing, 4:5 odds this turn...

Same goes for the Inca-Federate victory over Portugal, with Portugese surrender unlikely this turn at 1:5, but rapidly increasing with each turn of fighting. French intervention is placed at 2:5.

Muscovy has a numerical and leadership advantage over Sweden, but this will be one of the few wars with an Early Industrial Age power attacking a Middle Industrial Age one. The technology gap pushes Swedish victory toward even odds, at 1:2.

Total Swedish victory in both theatres is unlikely, however. Running at 1:3.

Finally, N. America! Chances of Mexican defeat run at 3:5 this turn, with Mexico City in French control.

The Californians will probably hold out longer, their defeat in one turn is 1:5, but in two it rises to 3:4.

Place your bets, gentlemen!

Unfortunetly Thlayli, there are many unseen variables that you have not accounted for, and likely will not account for until after the update is passed. I will not say what they are, but this game will turn more interesting by the minute. The clues of course are scattered among the diplomacy littering the thread, but if you think enough, and are supspicous enough, you'll see it. Thlayli, you've noticed it already, yet haven't made the connection...

I'm already exicted for the update after this one...

You know, i was only joking when i said in one of my story the time for peace is over, that all hell would break loose...

In hindsight, I suppose that the Ottomans just sent half their army to the HRE or something.

*annoyedly and sarcastically* So that's your reason? You feared my attack? No, I was going to war with Portugal. But now that's irrelevent, isn't it?

Meh, I got screwed by not sending orders, lets just hope every point goes into my navy and they are clever enough to survive.

That would be to my benefit as I don't need ships :p I just want the Incan lands in Neugranada, which the Imperials have generously granted me in return for helping to kick you out of their colony :)
