Poet Jester
The Basque People were restless. The Church had abandoned them, they wer under military rule, they had no representation in the French Government. The Spainish Areas of the Basque homeland were ruthlessly suppressed by Catholic Imposter Soldiers. Life was sucky, plain and simple. And where was their King? Up high in the mountains, feasting on grapes and venison. People were lucky to be able to keep there children out of the Gallows, let only feed them. Yet the so called King would onlysay to keep faith in the ever-more corrupt Pope. He would only urge to keep up the movement alive. They wanted action. Even the Soldiers of the King complained. The people were tired. The only people they trusted were the "Orators". These were the voices of the Movement. "The Basque", "The Voice", "The Persona", "The Nation", "The Representative", "The Officer", and "The Speaker". Those 7 kept the movement going. They travelled, and they spoke. Their names were mostly unknown, and they were never caught. But resently they had been speaking of Rights, and Freedoms, and.... Republic.

The Night
A secret meeting of the 7 orators & the town "heads" had been called, unknown to the King. They sat in a barn, around a fire, and spoke in hush tones.
"The Basque" stood up. "Basques," he said, "We are a proud people, a true people. We want freedom, WE NEED FREEDOM. We preach freedom. Yet we restrict ourselves. We want freedom from the Opressors, yet we set ourselves up for more opression. We will not have freedom under a King. We need Republic!"
Those in attendance nodded in agreement. "The Speaker" stood up.
"We are a part of a rebellion for independence. But what is independence? Independence as a country, or independence as a people? I would say people!"
"The Representative" stood up. "I agree with all of the other 6 Orators. We Must have a Republic, or we are doomed to repeat history"
The people all nodded their heads.
"The Officer" stood up. "Onto religion. The Catholic Church has abondoned us, they have abanoned Jesus. The concern themselves only with Muslims and politics. The growing sentiment of THE PEOPLE is that we should convert to Orthodoxy, and frankly I agree. We are a rebellion of the people, and we shall follow their whims."
The group nodded, prayed, and departed.
---------------------------------
The Morning
A letter was delivered to the Spainish garrison by a confused townsboy. It was not signed and held instructions to a place in the mountains. A group of Spainish soldiers were dispatched.
When they reached the mountain, they found King Sancho and his 7 advisors dead, each with a bayonet through their head. In Basque writting on a cliff above was written "Resurrection"
When the Guards returned the town was in an uproar. Apparently, no Basque attended Church this Sunday, none!
