NES2 VI - Last Semblance of Order.

OOC: Seeing as those pesky Norwegians don't want to separate from Denmark. I'll go with plan B, which is a people who actually want to separate from their opressors (No, Not Finland ;) ), Bulgaria.

IC:

To: The Ottoman Empire
From: Bulgarian People

Seeing as those pesky Greeks are breaking away from you, we will ask that you comply with pulling out of Bulgarian populated lands aswell.

To: Russia-Lithuania
From: Bulgarian People

Slavic Brothers. We ask for your protection in case the bloody Turks will not leave our lands peacefully.

OOC: @das I have some questions for you.

France is more free than the Afghan Khanate will ever be. Do not extend this war of words any longer, for you may find that it will turn into something else far too soon ;)

From Afghan Khanate
To France
It is curious if you will treat Greece in the same way you treat other developing nations, or perhaps your simply trying to find a puppet for your master. As a "civilized" and powerful nation, perhaps you should worry about your own affairs before they throw up in revolution, afterall, why do you support revolution in other nations when you stamp out freedoms across the globe. Once again, it seems your hypocrisy floats to the top. In the furture, we encourage you to remain out of Asia, or what you deem the "Middle East", you won't find many friends here, if you find any at all.

Fare well to you, for we stay in our hellhole, but who cares because at least its not France.

OOC: Whose saying we're liberal beacons of freedom? Whose saying anyone is? We're simply fighting for Islam and being xenophobic, which is quite in character.

History tends to suffere here too, though if you have a great teacher then it should be a good class. However, I think most of us get our knowledge from outside books and online, instead of school textbooks.

To the Ottomans
From Russia

Let us clarify our position. You will withdraw from all Orthodox areas currently within your Empire, that includes, Greece, most of the Balkhans, Georgia and Armenia. Whether you will withdraw peacefully or not will determine whether your empire is allowed to continue to exist.

and these Ottomans are less powerful than yours were

But they are also less overstretched...

And they weren't even citizen (kinda sorta they were slaves) thats just wierd

Welcome to the Middle East, what can I say. ;) Are you sure Janissary power is much weirder than all those Mamlukes and their empires (meaning both the Egyptian one, and the GEORGIAN Mamlukes in IRAQ, and any others I might have missed)?

@das what is the major religion in Sennar?

Islam.

@das what is the status of the greek part of the Ottoman Empire, happy? unhappy?

Maniacally-depressed. :p

Dammit. Why can't a *single* bloody Ottoman Empire survive?

I once more reffer you to Grandmaster, who is the only one who made a post-17th century Ottoman Empire work and even grow in size. ;) Oh, and NK, and KrimzonStriker, but those NESes died way too early.

Mostly because they try to expand into Europe.

Mostly because they DON'T, and instead lose the initiative and thus are overwhelmed. I really shoud play the Ottoman Empire one day, seems even more of a challenge than I previously thought...

das, how are my relations with the Ottoman empire?

Not too good, you raided their lands, they raided yours in revenge.

WAR on the second turn!!!

Usually it comes even earlier...

das what is the situation of guns? how advanced are they?

Approximately Napoleonic Wars level, but somewhat more advanced in truth.

and tnt, invented yet?

No.

what about electricity and stuff like that..

Not yet.

OOC: Panda, Constantinople was not predominantly Orthodox by this time period; it was Muslim.

Actually, this is before the great massacres and departations of Greeks and Armenians, all of which happened in the 19th century, so I'm not so sure about that...

I remmeber you stating that in blut and ehre :p

And I still stand by my words, yes. ;) Unfortunately, I still haven't found any precise sources on the population of Constantinople pre-Greek War of Independence, so...

You would've been surprised had you read his orders for NES2 III, for instance...

the only history i know is bloody american ok, its not my fault my parents moved here
anyway

From Ottoman Empire
To Russia
We give these areas their "independence" though they will probably invaded by Russia at a later date
Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, Serbia and Bosnia

ooc after a lot of editing here it is
now shut the hell up and leave me alone

You forgot Georgia and Armenia. As soon as you include those two I will leave you alone

@NK - Not a bit, his tactics were IMHO among the best there. Which is one of the reasons he survived after screwing his country over politically...

Btw, Bosnia and Albania aren't Orthodox majority IMHO, so Turkey can keep them as unaccessable enclaves.
