The Portugeuse had brought down the Zulu Nation. But, in the African sun there was still hope for Africa's people. Qwabe stood by his council. They were debating over what the situation. The generals planned their tactics. Qwabe just stared into the sunset. His men were eating their meat. Qwabe still grasped the ivory tipped spear he had carried from the beggining of his empire.
"How are we to fight such a power as the Portugeuse! They will hunt us down like antelope."
Qwabe turned around to face his men. "It is not the end my friends. As long as a Zulu lives, there is no end. We will never surrender this soil. We have fought and died. We have also fought and lived. This is only the end of the beggining my friends. We will not let them take our dignity. away! We are a proud people and will not fail." At this moment the entire camp was in awe by the sheer presence of their leader, "You men are fighting for your emperor. We shall shape our fate, just as it will shape us. We will fight. If we do step down than what are we. If you do not all stand and fight for a free Africa, then what are we. If we do not not fight than we can only dream of such a world. But if we stand and fight, then there are no boundaries. We must call all Africawns to rise up and be heard. This is our land not theirs. Men, women, and even young children, must all stand up and asnwer the call. We must all unite as one. Remember this is not our time to die. This is our time fight. Rise up men of Africa. Rise and brake your shackles. This is your time, this is our time. We will not fail. We are the zulu. Stand and fight for freedom. Death before dishonour. A life not for the emperor is not one worth living. A dead zulu is not just a zulu hero, but an African Hero."
A grand cheer erupted from the men. They felt a feeling of nationalism and pride. Mpande, Qwabe's son, watched in awe at his father. Many men had told him the spirits and very essence of Africa flowed threw him. When Mpande, looked into his eyes, there was no fear. He was truly a god. Freedom was coming and the tides of war would shift.
