Get some mana-channeling tips from them, and spirit crowdsourcing. Appear as a two-headed salamander in North King's dreams, singing an eerie melody that reminds him of a great and noble doom.

tuxedohamm: Yeah, I agree. I said that hoping that you could possibly feed me in return though. I'm thinking we should build a social bond between our characters while not dying in the process, and for that, giving each other food rather than hunting for yourself should help a lot. At least for this turn. I like how Daft phrased our meeting in the traditional Love On First Sight way. I'll make your short life so romantic. Until we're shredded by geese and random thunderstorms of course.

1AP: Gather enough berries, roots, fish, grubs from our east (right) to feed two people. Take a burning branch for additional protection from geese and what-not. Offer a fair share to the obviously hungry Angst. Also make sure I eat too. If there is time while foraging, gather some lengths of grass to make something later.
1AP: Re-light fire for warmth and protection, ensure un-hardy Angst is warm, and sleep in the tree.

Second Verse

Spoiler Situation :

Again, you begin the day with meditation and prayer for protection. By mid-day, you continue to walk south along the peninsular. For a moment it seems your prayers have deserted you, as you have a close encounter with a brown bear. But on this occasion, the bear hesitates to approach you, and wanders off to forage on berries and flowers. You are free to move on. You find some berries and seeds to eat, then find a nice spot to build a campfire, sheltered by some pine trees.

It is then that you meet him! A human, somewhat dishevelled male, one who stirs something in your emotions. You approach each other, as close as you dare. You feel a spiritual connection with him, and are happy to share your fire as night falls. You both settle down in the branches of the same tree to sleep. You awake with 3AP.

Angst

The after-effects of yesterday's mushrooms hurt your head. But something draws you to the north-west. You stumble along until you find a certain clump of pine trees. It is there that you find her... Instantly, there is chemistry between you. You find certain words coming to mind, and are able to engage in conversation with this beautiful creature. She remains somewhat aloof, but as night falls, you both sleep in the branches of the same tree, warmed by the fire below, but still feeling uncomfortably cold from the elements. You awake with 2AP (-1 hungry).

[1 AP] Descend Carefully from the pine tree and try walking around to find berries and stuff to Forage. Perhaps use my Stone Knife to open nuts and other hardy meals. If finding something, give it to that strange, beautiful creature known as tuxedohamm... So hallowed she is, and she charms me. Gift it knowing myself that she is worth the time and effort.
[1 AP] After the hard day's work and me being tired, I shall try resting in the pine tree again (Or at the fire below, just near to where the woman sleeps). If tuxedohamm wishes so, try to give warmth and comfort to her. It is cold, and I can warm her.

That's awesome LJ! Loved the verse. I am honoured to have helped inspire it.

@bonefang, I'm drawing the sprites by hand, so this is a nice graphical exercise for me too. There's only a couple of animal sprites I haven't drawn from scratch (the camels and the yak/highland cow). The humans are based on some custom Advance Wars sprites, which I have edited a heck of a lot. But it would mean that Advance Wars style troops and vehicles would fit quite well into this game, if things ever got that far ^^ (I am thinking more of a steampunk lean to technology, though, inspired by various minecraft things).
