Never Before Seen Civs - Elimination Game

Incas 14 (17-3) should be in the game at some point for sure, but as I said many times before: their cultural and administrative achievement tend to be overrated in popular culture.
Khmer 10
Mayans 21 (20+1) deserves to win.

Incas 14+1=15 - Mesoamerica already has one Civ and some Civ from SE Asia is guaranteed. Andes are empty, and whole SA has only one Civ. This deserves to win.
Khmer 10
Mayans 21-3=18 - Definitely interesting, but the problem is that Mesoamerica isn't in such pressing need of a Civ compared to SE Asia and Andes.

Incas (15+1)=16 I see more need for an Andean Civ than a second Mesoamerican Civ. I like to see a Civ that thrives around mountains. That Inca Empire course I took in my second university made me interested in them a lot more. For me, they represent all of the highland Andean civilizations (like Tiwanaku, Wari, etc).
Khmer 10 I'm happy with them finishing third, however, I think the "they have less priority because Asia is already well-represented" argument is silly.
Mayans (18-3)=15 Mesoamerica already has a Civ, and I think Firaxis will portray these guys as an OP science Civ that thrives in jungle (even though the real Maya chopped trees down :p). Science Victory is the easiest victory for me, so I'm not interested in trying that again.

Incas 16
Khmer 10 - 3 = 7 Very interesting, but I prefer the other two to be included before this one.
Mayans 15 + 1 = 16 For me, it's the most interesting civilization in the remaining list.

Incas 16
Khmer 8 (7 + 1) Didn't make it into Civ V, unlike the other two civs remaining. Additionally, Khmer would be my pick to represent the region of SEA, possibly under the name of Cambodia if we're adhering to how Firaxis handled Indonesia.
Mayans 13 (16 - 3) Too close to the Aztecs in architecture, culture, and proximity.

Incas 16+1=17 - SA has only one Civ and Andes are empty, and unlike SE Asia, we don't know when some SA Civ will come. The Incan Empire would fill a really large gap.
Khmer 8
Mayans 13-3=10 - Needed, but we already have a Mesoamerican Civ.

Incas (17+1)=18 Making sure they survive to become the winner, cause the Andes really need a Civ soon. Brazil can't represent South America by itself.
Khmer 8
Mayans (10-3)=7 I can wait for a 2nd Mesoamerican Civ. Please give me a female Maya leader and a Civ design without stereotypes (enough of the calendar!).

Incas 19 (18 + 1) I don't have much to say about them that hasn't already been said, but I think they're a clear choice for first place.
Khmer 5 (8 - 3) I fully agree that my argument about Asia being comparatively well represented is a flimsy one, but I think we're out of civs with non-flimsy arguments against them.
Mayans 7

Incas 19+1=20 - Deserves to win most.
Khmer 5
Mayans 7-3=4 - Unlike Andes or SE Asia, Mesoamerica already has a Civ.

Incas (20+1)=21 It adds representation to the Andes, and by extension, South America.
Khmer 5
Mayans (4-3)=1 Looks like the Mayans will be taking third....:p It's a great Civ but I can wait a bit for a second Mesoamerican Civ.

Incas 18 (21-3) Since I don't care for TSL, I'll never understand why someone would prefer them to the Maya
Khmer 5
Mayans 2 (1+1) hopeless

Incas 19 (18 + 1) I'd say being from a new continent is a major plus even without considering TSL, and they have a lot of ineresting directions to go in terms of unique abilities.
Khmer 2 (5 - 3) A good top five civ, but not, in my opinion a better choice than either of its remaining competitors.
Mayans 2

Incas 19
Khmer 2-3=Eliminated. Nothing against them. In fact we better be seeing them soon.
Mayans 2+1=3 Better be seeing them soon too.

Very well, time to end this thread (if there won't be another round)!

Incas 19+1=20 - The Incan Empire would fill a really big gap. Also, it could be an interesting "mountain Civ".

Mayans 3-3=0 (ELIMINATED) - Sorry Mayans. You are needed, but Mesoamerica already has a Civ.

So, thank you for this thread! It was fun to learn something about some new, never before seen Civs.
