New computer on a ~750 - ~1000 budget

Probably be fine, I can nitpick points, but I'm more familiar with North American pricing, and $10 price differences could make my points irrelevant, but anyway:
I'd get the Radeon HD 7870 over the Geforce GTX 660 if they're the same price. (Depending on tolerance for rebates, prices here are up to $50 cheaper for the 7870.)
RAM seems expensive, ordering by price gets me memory with the same specs for $56.

Why would you take the Radeon over the Geforce?
The 7870 is faster than the GTX 660, more comparable to the 660 ti. Cards and prices have moved over the past few months though, the 660 looks better now dropping in price with reduced availability of the 7870 and the R9 270 running too pricey.
