With the authority vested in me through the Code by the people, I hereby announce the creation of the Department of Information.
This presidential department is a delegation of responsibility for domestic civilian information from the president's office to the Department of Information, directed by the Information Director.
The Information Director and the Department of Information are charged with making relevant information on all civilian affairs, economic, social and political, accessible to all citizens with as much expediency and detail as possible.
To this end, the Information Director has the power post to the Information Department thread and to edit it in order to keep it current.
To this end, the Information Director may further designate information-related tasks which are beyond the ability of Information Director to handle alone. For these tasks the Director may deputize volunteers known as Bureau Chiefs to accomplish these tasks and create Information Bureaus as he sees fit.
Strider's work in this area even to this point has been impressive. Therefore I name Strider Information Director for the duration of my stay in office.
