Taegukgi might work, I remember a popular South Korean movie with that name.
Regardless, I guess we'll find out when it's released. They really didn't give us many hints at all about the Korean civ.I dislike how Firaxis releases all this info 1) very late and 2) all the info at once. Why not leak info slowly? Sadly the hope of future DLCs and much better patches are all I'm really interested in regarding Civ 5.
The gameplay is too bad for me to play it often these days. All the AI backstab you whenever your army is less strong than theirs, no matter how friendly you've been towards them. It'll be funny to see Queen Seondeok/King Sejong/whoever the Korean leader turns out to be backstabbing you a lot. Korean kings in that poll list *generally* didn't backstab much at all. If Korea does turn out to be cultural/scientific and defensive in nature, it'd be odd to see a truly aggressive AI with the Korean leader's face. Just...bizarre, like Gandhi declaring war on you over and over again. =|
I'm not a huge fan of Korean movies in general (the Busan film festival had some good ones though) but Taegukgi was very good in my opinion.

I agree with you on the Civilization 5 AI and general psychopathic diplomatic behaviour.
One thing Korea has not been noted for (for the most part) over the last 1000 years is aggressive behaviour towards their neighbours and other countries. A warmongering, nuke happy King Sejong would seem a little strange. The Kim clan to the North however would fit the AI diplomatic model perfectly. Sadly no one got the joke.
