You'd be surprised how much this model actually keeps players from constantly spending all their income on military. Like the other more common economic models...
It also discourages discretionary spending, such as on espionage. And I'm not quite sure where diplomatic obligations - indemnities, etc. - are met; from military, social, or private? It just seems too structured.

Private or Military can be spent to pay other nations from what I understand. Espionage is covered by military spending.

...so the military and private sector get shafted. Who are you, Bill Clinton? :p

Wait, orders? I still haven't gotten stats yet.

I am thinking of shafting public spending and only making Goverment and Private. Private is normally used for research and encourages economic growth (keeping it high increases goverment spending more long term), while goverment is what you use for infastructure, military, espionage, and everything else.

Though this would require some slight stat reworking.

Intrude: The Chinese capital isn't positioned at Beijing. It should be the city immediately southwest. It's currently centered on Chaoyang or Chengde or something.

Japanese capital sure ain't at Tokyo, which is to the east and up one, as it's currently on Gifu (or a really poorly positioned Nagoya).

Mexico City isn't Mexico City, but Guadalajara; Mexico City is the first city to the southeast.

Confederacy capital's in like Newport News, not Richmond, and the Union capital is in Trenton, not Philadelphia...

You really ought to check capital placement, because a lot of them are jacked. Brazil also has no stats.

Back, eagerly awaiting this NES.
