Arists and Writers don't seem to be benefiting from Mastery. Musicians, Engineers, Merchants, Scientists, and Civil Servants.

Could you do a fast check for me? Do they not actually provide the extra yields, or does it just now show up when you hover over the specialist?
I think the case might be that it just doesn't show up, but is added anyways.

What if the early buildings provided science yield on build based on the number of resources within city boarders? Ie granary provides +5 science for each wheat when you build it.

You are correct! In fact, all three Culture specialists don't show the Mastery bonus. However, it also seems Musician base culture is 5, though Civilopedia claims 4. Deselecting an Artist or Writer in early Medieval is removing 5 Culture per Turn. Deselecting Musician is removing 7.

That would cripple cities that don't have wheat though. Science from farms would be more reasonable.

EUI? If so it is just an interface bug. bc1 kept changing the code in that area and I had a hard time getting my updates to stick.

i dont know if someone mentioned this already, but im having issues with barbarian galleys on the ancient era. They should appear during classic as there is barely any way to deal with them during ancient.

Don't know if it's been noticed before, but when opening my savegame the city states taken over by barbarians didn't have any city bars anymore. Screenshot:

Next to the full CPP package I am only using Historic Religions.

... and a few turns later they've reappeared!

Happens until you 'see' the city again (As technically cities aren't 'met' until you see them...egh. It's just a quirk of the UI.

Wheat is just an example. All of the buildings could provide these bonuses.

Stable +5 science on build for each cattle, sheep and horse
Forge +5 science on build for each iron and copper
Stone Works +5 science on build for each stone and marble
etc.

Sounds more reasonable. That's a huge chunk of science though, considering you start with 3 science and THE early science building of the ancient era bumps that to 5. If the bonus was toned down to 1 or 2, that'd likely serve game balance better.

When I am using version 3.8, I can't access the diplomatic screen any more. Is this a bug?
With 3.7 it worked before.
