New style in CFC

I just got it today.

I got it again. You guys were right, it's that stupid AOL ad. :mad:

Bah I always close the ad before it matures. The white thing isn't a huge problem as it can be solved by hitting the back button, unless your in the middle of posting....

Never had it happen to me, maybe because I'm in Dark Blue, the ultimate style.

Hehe, for a while I thought I was immune to forum pop ups these days.
But today, I got even 2 different ones. The first was "American Red Cross", I closed it by reflex so I couldn't get the source code.

The second one wouldn't let me get the source code. :confused:

Though this one might be somewhat related to a civ site, I think Telefragged is not responsible (?).
Here it is:

Thanks for the screenshot, that helps to get it removed. But that ad had to be carried in via a 728x90 ad and I need to know which ad that is.

We do not have any popup ad code on the forums and never will. So any help you guys can give me will help.

Also, what is showing when the text turns white? I need to remove that one also.

Thanks,

Hi Paul, if you check up to post 16, you can see an example of a java popup over white text in the forums ("Cabin Fever").

Next time I will do my best to grab the source for the page - my instincts tell me to hit 'Close Ad', I will have to try and override the compulsion...

First forum popup I've seen in a long time. When I right-click on it, all I get is the address it wants me to visit: http://ad.doubleclick.net/click%3Bh=v2|3014|3|0|%2a|m%3B6107858%3B0-0%3B0%3B7161698%3B1-468|60%3B3378309|3396205|1%3Bu%3D198.26.125.13-1061409840840%3B%3fhttp://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSxdm036

Edit: & this is the source from the banner ad at the bottom (same site):
Code:
<body bgcolor="#63754A"  topmargin="8" leftmargin="0" marginheight="8" marginwidth="0">
<div align="center">

Hmmm, didn't some one make a thread about that smilies website. As I type the white thing is happening and the AOL for Broad Band pop up came across the middle of my screen kinda looks like those drop down banners.

I got them too! The pop-up and the ''new CFC style''

Paul - Going to say this here in case you didn't get the PM notification - I PM'd you the source code from the AOL pop up in the Computer Talk forum.

Got another one. . . .couldn't grab the source code. Here's a screenie of it:

Got this one directly after getting the Smiley one Padma posted.

meh. remind me never to buy medicine if I get acid reflux disease! :undecide:

Have we provided enough info yet? I keep on getting these....

Yep, same here. :(

They come quite frequently now. :mad:

These are the latest, they popped up when I accessed my user-cp.

Here's a shot of the 468x60 bottom ad ("Medal of Honor" or something), also note the strange white *new style* numbers:
(for me, it appears that I get pop ups if this one's displayed at the bottom - maybe someone can confirm)

This is the related frame source (grabbed it as the "Sony" pop up came through)

Hope this helps to finally get rid of the attacks.
