New unit: Fell Bat (apr 14th, 2005)

I think I can't pm them to you, but here they are.
Included are:

Colouring.pov (declare the textures and finish types here)
gloves.pov (declare the claws on the feet)
torso.pov (declare the body of the unit)
head.pov (declare head and other misc stuff)
FellBatDefault.pov (unit file)
FellBatFidget.pov (unit file)
FellBatRun.pov (unit file)
FellBatAttack.pov (unit file)
FellBatDeath.pov (unit file)
FellBatCivilop.pov (unit file)
FellBat_unit32.pov (unit file)

You can try to render the unit-files, they should work fine.

It might look hopelessly confusing at first LizardmenRule!, but if you really want to get into POV-Ray (which I recommend) you should look through the tutorials, they'll teach you all the basics then look to aaglo's files to get an idea of how to organize everything and how to solve certain situations (either with modelling or animating). Both of these sources are excellent for learning off of, once you get the basic idea of how to work the program you'll find that you'll very quickly get better and better. Good Luck! :goodjob:

Now that I think about it aaglo, I guess the wings are just a series of rotations, I might do a (flapping) winged unit one day now that I know it can be done and done well, but there's plenty else on my plate at the moment.

That alternate "guano" attack animation would've been gross

A Really Excellent job on this Blood Sucking Beast aaglo! Great animation on the Bat wingflap and the attack is very fitting. Probably just my preference but the Flc speeds seem better when set faster. The attack speed looks perfect and portrays the "Bat Speed" look. Perhaps Fidget-62, Run-46, Default, Death and Bomb at-66. Of course this IS a Giant, so the slower speeds do help indicate that fact. Thanks for creating this Night Terrior. Now we need some Giant Insects to plegue the lands   :thanx:
