New Unit: Teutonic Knight

it's not just the case of attack, as lance is visible in default/run, the most used states of a unit. as seen in Costa e Silva's post, there is common need for axe/hammer knight ;), so umm please think about it :D

Ah, yes hadn´t thought about the run or default. But rendering it without the lance shouldn´t be a problem :)

Ok, I make them in the next time. Below the last preview, the late medieval knight I mentioned. It was fun to create him in the pompous style of that age (ca. 1450), despite knighthood was already in decline at this time. There will be a certain loss of detail at civ unit size, but I think it will still look nice

BeBro Your knights are awsome

Could You make unmounted knights as well as a replacement for the medieval infantry for France, England and Germany ?

For the moment I cannot promise further units, although it would be cool to make more medieval stuff. But I´m busy for now. When the mounted knights are done (and some other stuff related to my planned Falkland scn) I can come back to this request, but it will take a while ;)

 I see you just made his feet silver coloured, but I don't think we'll see it at civ size. ;)
Are there any civ colours?

Well, the silver effect is due to the fact that his feet are also in this metal material used for the armor - it has a shiny effect if hit by light.

Re civcolors, I wanted to make the entire red area as civcolor. Just rendered a test anim, it looks good in flicster on some civ colors, but has some ugly effects on others, mainly white or other very bright colors. So in case I can´t fix it I think I´ll change it so that the lion is in civcolor, maybe some other elements too.

Yeah, but that´s a general problem with civ colors, which I can´t solve. Same would be if one chooses green civ colors for a green tank.

In that case, don't use the lion. Beside, these units as good chance to be sued for England, which is often red.

If I were you, I would make the harness and the piece of cloth of the headgear civ colored.
