New Units: Angels 6/1/04

Behold! Holy sounds for the eye-pleasing angels!

Details:

In this package you will recieve 2 files. Each one is labed with one of the angel's name. Both files contain a reconfigured INI and sound files. At your will please make sure the sound files are written correctly to assure no errors from occuring. The sounds ONLY cover Attack, Death, and Victory.

I will go ahead and inform you that the sounds are not of the angels at all. However the sounds in my opinion goes very well.
"The angel remains silent".
I did not find a sound for run. I did not include sounds for fortify or written in any. Sounds for fidget or/and fortify can come from default availible game sounds. Again, this only covered Death, Victory, and attack.

Attack used combinations of default game sounds edited together by me.
The female angel's death was SLIGHTLY altered... you may not notice.
Remaining sounds remains as is when downloaded.
Run was planned but the only flapping wing i found was of a pidgen (sp-ck).
Its wings flapped too rapidly to fit the animation... even at full speed of animating.

I hope you enjoy the new combinations.. I really hope so.

NOTICE: please go into the Seraphim INI and cut chant4.wav to Death= and not Dead= section.
Download the new Sounds and INI now!

Please report broken links or any other problems.

i don't know much about the cristian's view of angels, but at list in the judaic mithos Elohim is one of god's names [among Yahowe, Adonai (my lord\s), Hashem (the name) and others...].
mybe you should think of changing it's name to Malach (meaning "Messenger").
that is the most accurate translation of angel to biblical hebrew.
the term most used to refer to an angel is "Malach Adonai"- meaning= "the messenger of god"

or you can just ignore this:)

I don't know much about the Christian view of angels either (As I am neither Christian nor Jewish... nor any religious denomination really) I'm not going to change the name... But you certainly can if you chose to use this unit. Malach sounds like a good example of an alternative. I just make the things I don't care what they are called.

Interesting sounds. I wasn't using these units as angels but just wanted to say, they aren't that bad. They won't fit the purpose I have for these angels as I've turned them into Winged Elves of the Rainbow Road for my mod. ;)

you know, these units are impressive... even though they make me feel ... a little strange. Hard to describe what you feel playing an angel of high level in a pc game... But they look beautiful :-)
