I played a game of Venice. Few remarks:
- The Taj Mahal is super underwhelming. It basically gives a golden age and around 8+- GAP through out the game, which is worthless. A happiness point worth much more than a GAP point. Compared to the Progress finisher building, the Tah Mahal is quite useless.
- Reaching late game, would it be an option to make Research Agreement proc at less amount of turns? On Epic speed, its 75 turns if Im not mistaken. Maybe reduce it by 10 in the last age, and by 10 more in the pre-last age.
- Playing Venice with a bunch of puppet cities is super hard, mainly because the puppet's buildings prioritization. The thing is, with the new investment mechanic, you can invest in a building and then change the queue what it can build, that good. But when in war, I want the puppet city to build the 'defence' thing, that gives defense based on amount of hammers to the city. Moreover it optimize advanced buildings instead of going for the basics. For example, it will keep building culture buildings, but forgo defense, gardens, production buildings. The worst thing, is when you puppet city decides to go for guilds, potentially stealing a guild from your non-puppet cities (because you can have up to 3).
