Newbie Question (pls Help!)

ok.. i started playing CivIV . everything went uber and well. Asi played the past Civs ,i guess np for me.

BUT theres one thing... i dont know if its a bug or its nothing or i failed to do something. Please tell me. Heres the description.

Lower Right Hand corner , above mini map, is the list of your neighbours or other Civis , rite? U will get to see name of ruler, thenn his points, religion, and the one thing i dont iunderstand... there is a "THREE ARROW ICON" WTH is that? becos i never get one >.<

the icon means that you are trading with that leader/civ you get that just by signing an open border deal with that civ

It means you have trade routes with him, not necessarily that you are trading (as in trading resources). It has nothing to do with Open Borders (which in turn is symbolized by the white scroll icon (or whatever it is supposed to be)).
